Leftist congresswoman Ilhan Omar has married her fundraising chief, she has announced.
Her wedding to Tim Mynett happened earlier this week, DailyMail.com understands.
She announced the wedding in an Instagram post, which was accompanied by the couple in a romantic pose. The couple, both of whom divorced their previous spouses late last year, tied the knot at an undisclosed location.

'From partners in politics to life partners. So blessed,' the Minnesota congresswoman wrote on her Instagram account under the black and white photograph.
The couple were wearing the same rings that DailyMail.com pictured them wearing in Washington, D.C. last week.
Both Omar, 37 and Mynett — whose company received more than $500,000 last year from her campaign — initially denied they were having an affair.
But sources in the Somali community in Minneapolis say she was forced into announcing the nuptials because of articles on DailyMail.com.
'She sent this picture to a friend saying she wanted to announce her wedding because the reporting of the Daily Mail had been so accurate,' said one Somali leader.
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune said the couple had married 'in the Islamic faith'.

Omar has had a complicated marriage history, including allegations that she married her own brother.
She married her first husband, Ahmed Hirsi in 2002 in an Islamic ceremony that — like many in the Somali community was not registered with state authorities — and had two children with him.
But in 2009 she married British citizen Ahmed Elmi in a civil ceremony in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She said she had an Islamic divorce from Hirsi before that ceremony.
Her marriage to Elmi allowed him to get student loans to attend North Dakota State University — an issue that is now being probed by the FBI, DailyMail.com has learned.
She and Elmi — who now lives in east Africa — split in 2011, but did not divorce until 2017, the year before she again married Hirsi, with whom she had already had a third child.

But Hirsi and Omar divorced in November last year after he had flown to Washington, D.C. to pay her a surprise visit — only to find her in her apartment with Mynett, both of them wearing only pajamas.
Mynett, 38, was married to Dr. Beth Jordan, the head of the District of Columbia prison system's medical team. They divorced a month after Omar did.
Mynett clapped his hands in glee as he left their divorce hearing in Washington, where his wife tried to read out a statement saying he had stunned her the previous April.
There was no immediate response to DailyMail.com from Omar's spokesman.
Omar, who represents a district based in Minneapolis, has long denied an affair with Mynett.
But DailyMail.com pictured the two of them together both shopping at a Cub supermarket in Minneapolis and dining at Café 8, , a Turkish-themed Mediterranean restaurant and hookah bar where they stayed for 2½ hours dining in a private room.
DailyMail.com first broke the news that Omar, 37, was cheating on then-husband Ahmed Hirsi last year. We obtained video of her and Mynett leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles where the Minnesota congresswoman had given a speech.
They had been holding hands as they ate in the out-of-the-way Caffé Pinguini in the beachside enclave of Playa Del Rey.
When they stepped outside Omar and Mynett were confronted by a man angered by her remarks at the California speech when she described the 9/11 atrocities as 'some people doing something'.
The man who filmed them on his cellphone told DailyMail.com: 'He seemed very protective of her, it was not a random person. It just felt to me like they were close.'
Insiders soon identified the mystery man as Mynett, whose company has been on Omar's payroll since July 2018, providing fundraising and strategy services.
The intensity of the affair has grown fast. Hirsi, Omar's husband made a surprise visit to her previous apartment in Washington a year ago only to find her and Mynett both in their pajamas, DailyMail.com reported exclusively last month.
'It wasn't that he actually caught them in bed but they were clearly in a romantic situation,' a Somali source said.
Mynett was later pictured taking a six-pack of Stella Artois beer and other groceries into Omar's apartment.
That picture shocked many of her Moslem Somali supporters in Minneapolis as the Quran forbids alcohol, describing it as 'an abomination of Satan's handiwork'.
