South Africa: Farm attack, mom and son injured by 5 attackers, Bethal

A farm attack took place on the morning of 21 February 2021, at 11:00, on the Kuilfontein road outside Bethal in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. Jan de Jager and his mother were attacked, assaulted and robbed by five attackers, four men and a woman, the pair were seriously injured and evacuated to hospital by ambulance.
The attackers fled with two robbed firearms, a .38 Special and a CZ 72 in the families vehicle, a Ford Ranger bakkie, that was later discovered abandoned.
There is a lookout for another vehicle used by the five attackers, a white double cab Isuzu bakkie with unknown registration that fled in the direction of Hendrina.
There is no other information available at this stage. There have been no arrests.
