Kroonstad farmer, who shot 3 attackers, arrested for murder along with three others

It was reported that on the on the morning of 11 February 2021, a farmer, Pieter Swart, was attacked on his farm in Kroonstad. It was further reported that during the assault, the farmer managed to retrieve his firearm and shoot three of the attackers dead. The farmer who was hospitalised with stab wounds to his head has since been arrested on three counts of murder and detained in police custody.
The police who are investigating the attack allege that something else may have transpired contrary to what was reported by the farmer and the three others.Another three people, a woman and two men, have also been arrested for conspiracy to commit murder after they too supported the farmers claims of what happened.
The farmer and the three other arrested suspects will appear in the Kroonstad magistrates court on Monday 15 February 2021.
