Interesting Video Transcript Showing Pally Gunmen Firing Wildly Killed Journalist

The video shows the actions of the Palestinians on the day that they shot and killed Shireen. The Arabic has been translated into Hebrew subtitles which in turn have been translated into English subtitles below:

1. Scene: Wild, indiscriminate gun firing by an Arab in an alley: “This is the moment that the Palestinian shoots the female journalist who is located on the other side of the same alley at the side of the road.”

2. Scene: The side of the road where the journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, has been shot and killed: “A Palestinian by the other side of the road comprehends what has occurred and shouts and warns the other female journalists.”

3. Scene: Shireen’s body on the ground: “Now a female friend of the journalist bitterly cries over the wounded journalist.”

4. Scene: The second female journalist next to Shireen’s body: “Here we see the second female journalist shouting to the Arabs on the other side of the road, “You have killed her. She is not a soldier!”

5. Scene: Shireen’s body in the alley: “Now they are listening to an Arab in the background who explains to the shooters on the other side of the road, “What did they do? Now the journalist is dead from them.”

Mountain Lion Attacks Northern California Woman While Hiking

Mountain Lion Attacks Hiker—and Her Dog—in California

After the lion attacked the woman, her dog came to defend its owner

A hiker in northern California has her dog and an intrepid motorist to thank for her life, after being attacked by a mountain lion. The attack happened when Erin Wilson and her 50-pound Belgian Malinois went for a walk near Big Bar along the Trinity River, four hours northwest of Sacramento.

According to Captain Patrick Foy of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the mountain lion pounced on the woman from behind, clawing her left shoulder. Hearing her screams, the dog defended its owner. Foy told the Sacramento Bee, “The dog and the lion were in a pretty vicious fight. The mountain lion bit into the dog’s head and wouldn’t let go. So the woman attempted to throw rocks. She tugged at it. She pulled. She even attempted to gouge its eyes out. She couldn’t drive it off the dog.”

In desperation, Foy said, the woman ran back to the highway as the cougar began dragging her pet off the trail. A short while later, the woman managed to flag down Sharon Houston, who lived nearby. Houston told reporters: “I was driving on 299 from the Coast to Weaverville when I saw a woman trying to wave someone down. She was frantic about it.” Houston grabbed a stick and pepper spray from her car and followed the other woman down the trail.

As they approached the two animals, Wilson ran forward wielding a walking stick. Houston explained, “Right at the edge of the trees, I saw the mountain lion had the dog by the throat. She started hitting it with her baton and screaming. She was very determined to stop this mountain lion from attacking her dog so I couldn’t leave her.”

Houston joined the fray. ”I thought, ‘Here we go,’” she said. “So I started hitting it on the head, trying to get it to let go.” When it did let go, it turned on the two women. “(It) swiped at us and bared its teeth,” Houston said. “I opened up my pepper spray and just hosed its face. It was the longest 5 to 10 seconds…I begged, ‘Please work, please work, please work.”

It worked.

The lion released the dog, took one last swipe at the women, and then turned and walked away along the river. The women gathered the dog and drove to the Big Bar ranger station to report the incident and seek treatment. Foy concluded, “I think it’s safe to assume that dog probably saved her life.” And, it seems the two women returned the favor.

Foy explained that Wilson, who sustained injuries on her shoulder and hand, may need to be treated for rabies, while the dog is in the care of a veterinarian and is in serious condition.

Wilson drove an hour and a half from the site of the attack to the veterinarian’s office, where she learned that her dog was seriously injured after sustaining “two fractures to her skull, a puncture into the sinus cavity and severe swelling around her left eye, which [was] impeding her vision.”

Wilson then drove herself to be treated for her injuries, after rushing her dog to the vet. Her injuries consist of bite wounds, scratches, bruises, and abrasions.

Wilson, who is a small woman with a slight build, would likely not have been able to fight off the lion alone and unarmed.

South Africa: Cabinet approved R22m flag without considering the cost, says Ramaphosa

https://dailyfriend.co.za/2022/05/19/pride-in-the-flag/

President Cyril Ramaphosa says while the controversial R22m “monumental” flag project was approved by the cabinet, the government overlooked the cost associated with it.

“Our people have responded to the issue of the cost that it isn’t the wisest thing, at the moment, to go and put up a flag that is going to cost so much money,” said Ramaphosa.

He was speaking during an engagement with the business community in Carolina before the presidential imbizo in Mpumalanga.

Minister of sports, arts and culture Nathi Mthethwa’s department brought the initiative which they “conceptualised” and it was given the green light.

“I said to them yesterday [Thursday] we are a listening government, we listened to our people and having listened to them we decided we are not going to proceed with the flag project because we want to listen to the voice of our people,” said Ramaphosa.

On Thursday evening Ramaphosa told the Black Business Council summit in Johannesburg he received a phone call from Mthethwa, asking him for advice on how to handle the public outrage on the matter.

“So Mthethwa comes to me and he says, 'President, please tell me when I can call you'. So I say, ‘Mthethwa I am in a cabinet committee meeting, we will talk afterwards'. So I call him back and he says to me, ‘President this flag thing, which is such a wonderful initiative, it seems our people are not happy with it', and I say, ‘No, of course they are not happy with it. Cancel this thing',” said Ramaphosa to laughter.

The ministry on Thursday announced that Mthethwa had directed his department to review the project.

“Over the past few days the minister of sport, arts and culture has followed and taken note of public discourse that has unfolded in respect of the envisaged monumental flag.

“The diversity of voices around this important heritage project are a welcome celebration of our country’s vibrant constitutional democracy and the freedoms that must be upheld beyond posterity. It also bodes well for one of the pillars of social cohesion which is an active citizenry.

“In upholding this ethos and the inalienable rights of citizens to be heard, the minister of sport, arts and culture has directed his department to review the process related to the monumental flag in its totality,” the ministry said.

George Bush - How to turn a mistake into a lie

Former US President George W. Bush made an embarrassing gaffe, perhaps a Freudian slip, when speaking on the importance of democracy and threats to democracy from abroad, and taking aim specifically at Russia.

“Russian elections are rigged,” he said. “Political opponents are imprisoned or otherwise eliminated from participating in the electoral process. The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean of Ukraine.”

Then Bush brushed the mistake aside and said, “Iraq, too,” insinuating that Russia was somehow involved in Iraq – which is obviously not true.

US aid to Ukraine looks ‘like money laundering scheme’ – Congresswoman

US aid to Ukraine looks ‘like money laundering scheme’ – Congresswoman

American aid to Kiev goes to NGOs run by “friends and families” of US politicians, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene claims
US aid to Ukraine looks ‘like money laundering scheme’ – Congresswoman

The financial support America provides to Ukraine looks very much “like money laundering schemes,” Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has told ‘The Truth With Lisa Boothe’ podcast on Monday. The money supposedly destined for Ukrainians ends up in the pockets of “non-profits and NGOs” that are often run by people close to the politicians in Washington, Greene has claimed.

“They want to get $40 billion to Ukraine and you have these $40 billion on top of the money that have already been given. That brings it to $53 billion. That is over two thirds of the State Department’s entire budget for the year,” the congresswoman said, referring to the latest aid package that is currently going through the US Senate.

According to Greene, the US officials are doing this to eventually fund the NGOs operated by “their families and friends.” “It is basically like money laundering schemes,” she said.

The congresswoman believes these funds should be spent to deal with issues inside the US instead, including homelessness or human trafficking, which, according to Greene, have reached “record-high” levels.

Our tax dollars are just like one big slush fund for criminal operations and it needs to end.

Of the upcoming $40 billion aid package, $900 million is to be given to “qualified” organizations and NGOs for wraparound services, housing and medical services, the congresswoman said, adding that these organizations will be “eligible for any help the US government can give them.”

Washington also plans to provide $150 million for global agriculture and food programs at a time when US farmers are “on the verge of going out of business,” Greene said, adding that she has talked to the farmers in her district over the past week and found out they had been “hurt so badly by inflation and high fuel costs, chemicals and fertilizer costs… they are not breaking even.”

The congresswoman has also accused the US of being hypocritical about its alleged desire to “help the Ukrainian people.” Washington is being pouring money into Ukraine but is “totally ignoring” other conflicts around the world, she said, adding that “Ethiopia has a civil war right now, with thousands of people killed and millions displaced,” but the US pays little attention to this fact.

It is such a hypocrisy. It is not about saving lives but it certainly is about Ukraine.

Greene is not the only one concerned about the transparency of the US spending when it comes to aid for Ukraine. Last week, a quick vote on the $40 billion Ukraine aid package bill was blocked by Republican Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky. He demanded a special inspector general be appointed to monitor how the massive aid package is spent.

Paul insisted that his proposal be added to the bill, which would require that the revised legislation go back to the House for another vote after Senate approval. He noted that the latest package would bring total US aid to Ukraine to $60 billion since the conflict began in February, nearly as much as Russia earmarks annually for its entire defense budget. The Senator also argued that America would have to increase its debt and worsen its inflation crisis to make the aid available to Kiev.

Greene herself was among the 57 Republican representatives who voted twice against sending financial aid to Ukraine during its conflict. Both aid packages, however, received overwhelming support in the House and were passed 368-57.

On Saturday, US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) also assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the US support during his visit to Kiev. He also vowed to “get the job done” by passing the aid package bill.

ACLU Files Motion Denying Existence of Women

ACLU Files Motion Denying Existence of Women

The War on Women is real.

Daniel Greenfield

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

The ACLU claims that there’s a War on Women… and it’s fighting it.

"We're Not Stupid: Outrageous Quotes from the War on Women," the ACLU had headlined a post about its pro-abortion activism in 2013.

A decade later the ACLU is arguing in court that women don't exist.

Not only does the ACLU’s current abortion coverage eliminate any mention of women, but in response to a civil rights lawsuit by women, it actually filed a motion arguing they don’t exist.

Last year, the Women’s Liberation Front, one of the few remaining feminist groups that have rejected transgender intersectionality’s displacement of women, filed a lawsuit against California’s prison system over housing men who claim to identify as female together with women.

The feminist groups filing the lawsuit noted that, "of the incarcerated men seeking to transfer to women’s prison 33.8% — FULLY ONE THIRD — are registered sex offenders."

Krystal Gonzalez, one of four women being represented in the lawsuit, reported being sexually assaulted by a man who claimed to be “transgender” in prison. The California penal system however insisted that her male attacker was actually a “transgender woman with a penis.”

The ACLU, along with Lambda Legal and the Transgender Law Center, filed a bizarre motion in response denying that, “‘men as a class’ are defined and differentiated from ‘women as a class’ by their ‘anatomy, genitalia, physical characteristics, and physiology.’”

Are there physiological differences between men and women? Science says there are while the ACLU denies it in what may be one of the most surreal motions ever submitted to a court.

Denying sexual dimorphism is up there with a motion claiming that the earth is flat.

But the ACLU motion went on “to deny the allegation that ‘human beings’ are ‘sexually dimorphic, divided into males and females each with reproductive systems, hormones, and chromosomes that result in significant differences between men[] and women[.]’”

Biology 101 is now an “allegation” to be denied in court.

Maybe the ACLU’s next motion will deny the “allegation” that the earth revolves around the sun.

The civil rights lawsuit the ACLU is fighting uses textbook terminology. Literally. The language of a basic biology textbook is being denied by a former civil rights group fighting against a civil rights suit by a sexual assault victim. The ACLU now hates science, women, and civil rights.

Not to mention free speech.

Within a decade the ACLU has gone from falsely accusing Republicans of a “War on Women” to waging an actual war on women in court. The ACLU has also switched from claiming that Republicans were tolerating sexual assaults on women to fighting women in court so that male sex offenders can continue to sexually assault them. That’s what a War on Women looks like.

It’s hard to know whether this is worse than the ACLU also throwing out freedom of speech.

Even while the ACLU files motions denying the existence of women in court, it still maintains the ACLU Women's Rights Project that was founded by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The ACLU denies that women are a class when filing a motion against a lawsuit by a woman who was sexually assaulted, and then argues that they are a class in employment law.

Women are apparently still a class when they’re being paid less than men, but they’re not a class when a man wearing a dress wants to sexually assault them in the prison system.

The ACLU Women's Rights Project claims that it “addresses the harms to women and girls caught up in the criminal and juvenile justice systems” even while its California chapters are fighting women who have been caught up in the criminal justice systems and suffered harm.

Even while the ACLU fundraises off defending women, it denies they exist. Its legal advocacy has begun to shift away from mentioning pregnant women to referring to “pregnant people”.

The ACLU promises to advocate for women while erasing them in court.

The former civil rights group accuses abortion opponents of supporting “forced pregnancy”, but women in prison have become pregnant while it insists on forcing them to live alongside male rapists. The actual agenda of the ACLU is even worse than its wildest accusations that it and its radical leftists allies have been hurling for decades at social conservatives.

In Washington, the ACLU went to court to stop the release of documents about the transfer of male prisoners, including a serial rapist, into the Washington Correctional Center for Women.

The men included Douglas “Donna” Perry, a serial killer who violently hated women, was charged with murdering three prostitutes and may have killed between nine and twenty women.

Douglas Perry explained that he killed women because he "couldn't breed" and the "women had the ability to have children".

A family member of one of his murder victims had specifically asked that Douglas be kept out of a women's prison so he would not be able to hurt any more women.

But in California’s progressive jurisprudence, only the rights of criminals matter to the Left.

The ACLU's male attorney went so far in that case as to file an injunction against the woman requesting information about the number of men being housed in women's correctional facilities.

“The War on Women 2.0: Do They Think We're Stupid?” the ACLU headlined its arguments a decade ago. The ACLU is waging a War on Women 2.0 and it thinks its supporters are stupid.

In the name of diversity, equity and inclusion, the ACLU wants to force women to live alongside a male serial killer who piled up their naked corpses near the Spokane River.

Douglas Perry was caught because a cold case investigation allowed a "forensic scientist… to be able to develop a male DNA profile from blood" found under one of the victim's fingernails.

Perry is still a man. He was caught because of a male DNA profile. That’s actual science.

But how long will it be until the ACLU argues that DNA evidence can’t be used to stop serial killers like Perry because he now identifies as a woman and therefore he can’t be the suspect.

Perry's defense for the murder of those women was, "I'm not going to admit I killed anybody, I didn't. Donna has killed nobody." When he was asked if "Doug did", he answered, "I don't know if Doug did or not, it was 20 years ago and I have no idea whether he did or did not."

What used to be insanity a mere eight years ago is now the official position of the establishment.

In an extraordinary document, the ACLU denies everything we know about biological science and it does so in the name of not only erasing women, but exposing them to sexual abuse.

The ACLU claims to be fighting to protect women even as it’s forcing them to share a space with serial killers, rapists and sex offenders. What else would you call that except a War on Women?

What’s cooking today: Game biltong, Gorgonzola & rosemary pâté

It’s game season, to the delight of those who live in the country and relish the game meats available in the colder months. But this recipe will also be good with beef biltong.**

Biltong dust is a useful ingredient to buy if you have a biltong pâté in mind. My biltong pâtés are usually textured, using soft biltong that I chop finely. Once in a while, though, I buy biltong dust, for a finer pâté, although I did also include a small quantity of finely chopped fresh biltong in the mix, for added texture.

Ingredients

200 g venison biltong dust

50 g soft, lean game biltong, chopped finely

250 g mascarpone

100 g cream cheese

100 g Gorgonzola

Juice of half a lemon

Leaves of 2 rosemary sprigs

5 Tbsp milk

Salt and black pepper to taste (but don’t add salt if the biltong is very salty)

Method

Put the rosemary needles and milk in a small pot and bring it to a simmer. Turn off the heat and let it cool to room temperature. Strain and use the rosemary milk for the paté. Discard the rosemary needles. (Or do this in a very small pot on the stove top.)

In a bowl, mix the biltong dust, chopped biltong, mascarpone, cream cheese and Gorgonzola until well combined. Stir in the lemon juice and rosemary milk and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Spoon into ramekins and garnish with slivers of biltong and rosemary flowers. Serve with crusty bread or crackers. DM/TGIFood

** Biltong is a form of dried, cured meat that originated in Southern African countries (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia). Various types of meat are used to produce it, ranging from beef to game meats such as ostrich or kudu. The cut may also vary, either fillets of meat cut into strips following the grain of the muscle, or flat pieces sliced across the grain. It is related to beef jerky in that they are both spiced, dried meats; however, the typical ingredients, taste and production processes may differ.

The word biltong is from the Dutch bil ("buttock") and tong ("strip" or "tongue").
