CBS This Morning does segment on “Trans Joy”

Source: https://therightscoop.com/ugh-good-morning-america-does-segment-on-trans-joy/

American culture has become increasingly corrupt over the past two decades with the rise of the LGBT movement and here’s the latest example of the MSM playing their part in trying to normalize this transgender garbage.

CBS This Morning did a segment today on ‘trans joy’ where a dude proudly claims he’s a woman and the CBS hosts go right along with it as if it’s completely normal and wonderful.

It’s bad enough that men claim to be women and vice versa, but the MSM pushing all of this garbage is just one more reason to shut them off for good. There is nothing normal or beautiful about this and we all see how it’s permeating our society in negative ways, like with the male swimmer Lia Thomas being allowed to compete against women.

That’s the biggest problem I have with this movement because, just like with gay marriage, when a biological man is heralded as a woman and is given the right to compete against women, the rights of the women he’s competing against are severely diminished. It is truly an attack on woman and as DeSantis suggested yesterday, this is destroying women’s athletics.

And it all starts with normalizing this fraud, just as CBS seeks to do with this ‘trans joy’ segment. I can’t imagine there was ever a need for acceptance of God in our society more than now, and it looks like it’s only getting worse.

Taking a Cooking Course Has Magic Pill Like Effects on Mental and Physical Well-Being

Taking a Cooking Course Has Magic Pill Like Effects on Mental and Physical Well-Being

By Andy Corbley

Good News Network

In a large study in Australia, a seven-week cooking class was found to significantly improve mental health and well-being, physical health markers, confidence and life satisfaction—as well as the ability to change eating habits.

These changes were not only seen in both men and women, but regardless of whether any increase in understanding of nutrition and the risks of obesity was obtained during the course.

It suggests that simply by returning to home-cooked meals, society could greatly improve the overall health condition of its citizens.

The story of the decline in physical and mental health in the western world is well known. An emphasis on work and study leads to the consumption of less nutritious food, which has exploded in availability as the decades have advanced.

67% of all Australians are overweight or obese, the recently-published paper reveals, a figure which is nearly applicable to the American population.

An international team of researchers aimed to investigate if a course of seven, 90-minute cooking classes could improve health outcomes by restoring confidence in people’s ability to cook for themselves at home.

“The intervention involved participation in weekly cooking sessions… delivered by a nutrition professional from the fully equipped JMOF mobile kitchen,” the study reads.

“The 90-min hands-on cooking session used a new recipe each week to scaffold learning of skills and knowledge about nutritious foods, to enable increased cooking confidence, skill development and food literacy knowledge. In addition, the participants were taught knife handling skills and were given tips and advice about healthy options for how to boost flavor and create dishes using fresh foods to replace pre-prepared ingredients. Food-budget planning, kitchen economy and reduction of food waste were also covered.”

Something deeper

The study details that many researchers have imagined that food literacy is linked to higher education, higher incomes, and value of real estate: i.e. that only rich white folks understand why cooking with vegetables is advantageous from a health perspective.

In this large and diverse population sample, consisting of many education and income levels, no socio-economic factor drove the desire to learn from—or the benefits from participating in—a home-cooking class. The authors report similar incidents in three other published trials of a similar kind.

Six months after the classes, the participants, 32% of whom had scores for general health, mental health, and subjective vitality lower than the national average, all reported significant improvements.

A limitation of the study, the authors note, could be that as the class was a group activity, it was simply the result of doing something constructive together with other people that resulted in the benefits.

However, as the improvements in mental and physical well-being were observed months after the classes concluded, one can suppose it’s due more to the deployment of the knowledge gained in the kitchen over the subsequent weeks—and perhaps even the juxtapositions of more time with family and friends over cooked meals.

Seagulls remember where they got fish and chips: travel many miles for more

Seagulls remember where they ate fish and chips from and travel dozens of miles to visit specific shops, researchers find

  • Researchers found herring gulls make a beeline for a specific shop in Scotland
  • Some fly to the Wee Hurrie from around 100 miles from the Inner Hebrides
  • British Trust for Ornithology researchers used GPS technology to track the gulls

Most of us have a favourite chip shop – and it seems seagulls are no exception.

The birds, say scientists, remember where they last dined on fish and chips and flock back from dozens of miles away.

Researchers found herring gulls make a beeline for a specific chip shop in the town of Troon on Scotland's west coast.

Some fly to the Wee Hurrie from around 100 miles from the Inner Hebrides.

Researchers at the British Trust for Ornithology used GPS technology to tag gulls, which can live for around 12 years, from Lady Isle and Pladda in the Clyde and Oronsay and Islay in the Inner Hebrides

Researchers at the British Trust for Ornithology used GPS technology to tag gulls, which can live for around 12 years, from Lady Isle and Pladda in the Clyde and Oronsay and Islay in the Inner Hebrides.

They also followed one colony in Walney in northwest England.

The experts found that outside the breeding season, herring gulls used a range of habitats, including grassland, farmland and urban areas, as would be expected for a species that can survive on a wide variety of different foods from chips to earthworms and freshly caught fish.

The data revealed that several of the gulls from Scotland visited the Wee Hurry Chippy in Troon, while an individual tagged on Lady Isle in the Clyde even took a trip to the Ayr Racecourse.

However, there was an overall preference for intertidal habitats, where herring gulls are likely to feed on mussels and worms.

Dr Nina O'Hanlon, study author, said: 'We downloaded data from at least five individuals at the chip shop.

'Some of the individuals were making repeated visits.'

Herring gulls often hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons during the summer months, leading to calls for controls on their numbers, especially in urban areas.

However, the species is on the Birds of Conservation Concern Red List because of a steep population decline, with numbers down by 48 per cent since 1986.

The study was part of efforts to understand why there has been a steep decline in the number of herring gulls, despite their reputation as a widespread nuisance.

'Identifying the intertidal areas most favourable to herring gulls and providing effective protection during the non-breeding period could benefit populations,' the researchers wrote in their paper.

'For example, through reducing human disturbance, sustainable management of harvesting intertidal invertebrates, and managing conflict between wildlife and shellfisheries, which would likely benefit multiple species using intertidal habitats.'

The research was published in the journal Frontiers in Marine Science.

WHAT IS THE BRITISH TRUST FOR ORNITHOLOGY?

The British Trust for Ornithology is an organisation founded in 1932 for the study of birds across the British Isles.

It carries out research into the lives of birds, chiefly by carrying out population and breeding surveys and by bird ringing, largely carried out by a large number of volunteers.

The organisation's Garden Birdwatch survey allows huge numbers of non-expert birdwatchers to take part by making a weekly count of the birds they see in their gardens.

The Duke of Cambridge has been a patron of the British Trust for Ornithology since October 2020.
