Kammy asked Josh if he was a Double Agent

Kamala Harris asked vice presidential candidate Josh Shapiro if he was an Israeli double agent, or if he ever had been a double agent for the Israeli government.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro was left 'offended' by members of Kamala Harris' presidential campaign, who asked him whether he was a 'double agent' for Israel.

Shapiro wrote that the process was far more contentious than publicly understood.

Harris’s vetting team focused intensely on his positions on Israel.

The Jewish governor made the revelation in his new memoir, Where We Keep the Light, in which he discussed the questions he faced as Harris narrowed down her vice presidential pick.

Shapiro was among the finalists to become Harris' VP along with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.

The Harris camp seemed particularly concerned with his thoughts about Israel amid the war with Hamas - and even asked Shapiro point-blank whether he had been a 'double agent' for the Israeli government.

Shapiro replied that the question was offensive, according to The New York Times.

The governor was then told: 'Well, we have to ask.'

He went on to say that the fact that he was asked the question 'said a lot about some of the people around the VP.'

That was not the only question about Israel that the Harris campaign lobbed at Shapiro, whose home was once firebombed over the war in Gaza.

He was pressed repeatedly on Israel‑related issues.

'I wondered whether these questions were being posed to just me - the only Jewish guy in the running - or if everyone was being grilled about Israel in the same way.'

'I had a knot in my stomach all through these sessions.'

The Pennsylvania governor had been considered a favorite to be Harris' running mate due to his popularity in an important swing state.

Many leftists, though, had been worried that Shapiro would be too pro-Israel and Democrats were concerned his nomination would ultimately hurt Harris' campaign.

Shapiro was a finalist to become Harris’s vice presidential pick, but she ultimately chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

President Donald Trump, who defeated Harris in the 2024 election, has several times since insisted that Harris did not pick Shapiro, whom he said would have been a stronger choice than Walz, because of his Jewish heritage.

Shapiro said that "It is true that antisemitism is present within our party, and we have to stand up and speak out against that."

Aaron Keyak,  former deputy special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism during the Biden/Harris administration, condemned the double-agent question.

It was an “antisemitic inquiry,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

Shapiro’s experience, Keyak said, was similar to those of “too many” who had told him about being asked similar questions.

Keyak said he also had faced “questions in a classified setting that my fellow non-Jewish political appointees did not.”

“These sorts of antisemitic questions are anti-American and do not represent the best that the Democratic Party offers,” Keyak said. “Now and especially during the next presidential campaign, we must demand better.”

One questioner, former White House counsel Dana Remus,  asked Shapiro, “Have you ever communicated with an undercover agent of Israel?” Shapiro said in response, “If they were undercover, how the hell would I know?”

Shapiro wrote that he decided to take his name out of the running after a one-on-one meeting with Harris that featured more clashes, including about Israel.
Harris asked Shapiro if he would apologize for some of his comments about protesters at the University of Pennsylvania who had intimidated Jewish students.
Shapiro wrote that he flatly told Harris that he would not. It was one of several times that he had to stand his ground after Harris’s team brought up issues on which he had taken a different stance from hers and asked if he would be willing to apologize or otherwise make a public about-face.

Yazidi Women Used as Sex Slaves by Muslim Terrorists

A Yazidi woman enslaved by ISIS has described her seven-year ordeal of sexual abuse and torture at the hands of ruthless terror chiefs, including leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and her extraordinary escape to freedom.

Sipan Khalil was just 15 when ISIS swept through the Yazidi village of Kocho, Iraq in 2014 during what the UN later recognised as a genocide.

The now 26-year-old was abducted and taken to Raqqa, Syria - then the capital of the Islamic State caliphate - before being sold into slavery.

She was held by ISIS leaders for seven years. During that time, she was repeatedly sold, sexually abused and forced into marriages.

In captivity, Sipan witnessed young girls being assaulted and was routinely tortured with rape, beatings and hunger by the leaders of the terror group.

She ended up in the residence of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, where she was forced to work as a domestic slave and take care of his children.

Sipan has outlined her ordeal in numerous interviews in recent years, most recently speaking to Rudaw last week where she described how Baghdadi committed 'assaults' against 'very young girls' as young as eight.

In a previous interview she recounted how Baghdadi attempted to rape her while one of his wives held her down after they discovered a secret notebook in which she had been documenting ISIS crimes.

They were only interrupted when a wave of coalition airstrikes started, she told Al-Monitor in 2022

The terror leader locked her in a basement and deprived her of food and sunlight and the couple 'committed many assaults' against her, she said.

Baghdadi tortured her with an electric shock baton while he interrogated her about the contents of her diary.

At one point, she was handed to ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani and stripped of her name.

Her captor forced her to call herself 'Baqiyah' ('She who remains'). Her life became a cycle of hunger, abuse and humiliation.

Sipan recounted how she witnessed other Yazidi slaves in the house picked one at a time to be raped by Adnani and prayed she wouldn't be next.

'They came back like corpses. They never said anything,' she said.

However, his abuse eventually reached her, and she described being violently raped by the militant.

'He tied my wrists to the feet of the couch, and started hitting me as he covered my mouth with his elbow. I fainted.

'I didn't realise anything until the sun rose. I started screaming. He kept me tied to the couch and raped me again and again before and after prayers.'

She said the abuse continued for months.

Adnani reportedly trafficked Yazidi girls as young as nine, selling them to places such as Turkey, Lebanon and the Gulf countries.

During her captivity, she was forced to witness extreme violence carried out by ISIS leaders.

Sipan told Al-Monitor how she had been taken by Adnani to watch the notorious execution of captured Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh, who was burned alive in a cage in early 2015.

'I had seen decapitated heads, corpses, but that day I entered a new world,' she said of the horrific killing which shocked the world.

In 2017, Sipan was married off to Abu Azam Lubnani, a 22 year-old Lebanese ISIS fighter.

She said the militant would sit her down and proudly show her videos of him lining up prisoners and shooting them while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar.’

Sipan described him as 'an evil man, serving a state that was murdering innocent people'.

At one point, Lubnani located her younger brother Majdal, who was being forcibly trained by the terror group, and brought him to their apartment for a brief visit, where she told her brother to tell their family she was dead.

Soon after, coalition warplanes struck the building where Sipan was living while Lubnani was away.

She survived the strike and during her lengthy recovery learned she was pregnant.

'I wished to die after hearing this because I did not want to have a child who will bear the name of a terrorist father,' she said.

After ISIS was defeated, Lubnani and a smuggler attempted to traffic Sipan to Lebanon in a journey that ended when a land mine exploded near their vehicle, badly injuring her captors.

Although she and her three-month-old baby boy were wounded, she managed to take hold of Lubnani's gun, shooting him and the smuggler.

She said she didn't feel guilty, adding: 'If I hadn’t killed them, I would never be free. It was my last chance'.

Sipan wandered the desert with her baby until finding a barn when she sought shelter. Her son tragically died of his injuries along the way.

A local Bedouin family found her and hid her for two years. After saving enough money to buy a phone, she began frantically looking for her family on social media.

Sipan located her mother, four surviving brothers and five sisters, who were shocked to learn she was still alive.

They had dug a symbolic grave for her, believing she had been killed by the 2017 airstrike on Lubnani's home.

The Bedouins helped her return to Iraq, and she was officially freed and reunited with her family in 2021 by Western Nineveh Operations Command following a joint intelligence operation.

Sipan, who also uses the surname 'Ajo', now lives in Berlin, where she studies and works with the Farida Organization, a human rights group founded by Yazidi survivors. She also cares for her surviving siblings.

Sipan said her family was almost entirely wiped out during the genocide.

'They killed my father, they killed my brother, they killed many of my uncles, and they killed my cousins,' she told Rudaw in an interview on Tuesday.

'I take care of my brothers and sisters because my parents are gone,' she added.

Despite rebuilding her life, Sipan said recent violence against Kurdish communities in Syria has brought back painful memories.

'It reminded me of those days in 2014 when they attacked us Yazidis and killed all of us,' she said. 'I say this is a recurring genocide.'

How lies became weapons in the war on the West - opinion

How lies became weapons in the war on the West - opinion

From Soviet propaganda to Qatari petrodollars, the long campaign to destabilize the West has relied less on armies and more on narratives

The quote that “if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it” is usually attributed to Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi minister of propaganda, but he was far from the first to adopt this manipulation to misguide the masses.

Long before mass media existed, the Soviet Union understood that the public would largely believe any narrative if it was repeated often enough, no matter how insane it sounded or how little sense it actually made.

Hence, when USSR leader Joseph Stalin, one of the world’s worst mass murderers, died, many young Soviet Jews wept over him, despite the bitter irony that he embodied the very oppression and torture of the Jewish people. Those who wept over him were simply victims of systematic mass indoctrination.

Inventing a people

In the 1960s, when the Soviet Union sought to diminish the influence of the United States in the Middle East, it devised a course of action to weaken the US’s closest ally in the region, Israel. The Soviets embraced Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian-born Arab, and effectively constructed a narrative casting him as the leader of a people who did not formerly exist: the Palestinians.

The so-called “liberation” narrative, which was the basis for the establishment of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), was inherently misleading, as it referred to the liberation of lands occupied during the Six Day War in 1967. The PLO was established in 1964, a fact that directly undermined the narrative, but that did nothing to deter its creators. Facts were never allowed to interfere.

Creating chaos in Western-led strongholds served the Soviet regime by undermining American influence and projected strength.

From Moscow to Ramallah

Interestingly, Abu Mazen, also known as Mahmoud Abbas, the current president of the Fatah movement (or the PLO) in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), was educated and indoctrinated in the former Soviet Union. In the 1980s, he studied there, completing his doctoral thesis, which largely dealt with Holocaust denial. A little-known fact is that he was recruited and groomed by the KGB to continue to leverage and strengthen what Arafat had begun with Soviet backing.

In 1979, the leaders of the Islamic Revolution in Iran also sought to carry out a similar doctrine – the red-green alliance – as first conceptualized by the Soviets, to manipulate the minds of young, impressionable Western liberals wishing to promote freedom and equal rights.

The red-green alliance was based on planting doubt, unrest, and self-loathing among the young generation in Iran – namely students, artists, and intellectuals – who believed they were demonstrating for freedom and equal rights, only to be swallowed by the Islamic regime as soon as it came to power.

Chaos as strategy

Radical Islam, whether Shi’ite or Sunni, does not recognize the concept of a nation-state (El-Watan in Arabic). It only allows for the concept of a larger, global, Sharia-based Islamic community (Umma in Arabic). The two concepts are contradictory, making it impossible for any religiously led revolution – whether Shi’ite or Sunni – to adopt a single country, land, or geography, whether in Iran or elsewhere.

Over the last few decades, Iran has exported its extremism and indoctrination far beyond its borders, seeking leverage through the exploitation of populations that are not its own. The system by which it strengthened these proxies relied on creating chaos, dissent, deep societal fractures, and instability from within, into which it then embedded its own experts and proxies to maintain strategic assets, both economic and military.

In this manner, Iran sought to “ride” the Palestinian cause – not because it believed in the Palestinians, whose Soviet-crafted narrative was based on nation-state independence, a concept entirely foreign to Islamist ideology – but because it generated chaos, allowing Tehran to extend its grip across arenas such as Syria, Yemen, the Gaza Strip, Judea and Samaria, Iraq, and even Jordan. In Egypt, these attempts failed, though not for lack of effort.

Throughout this period, indoctrination and incitement against Jews and Israel strengthened the cause, as it was – and remains – comparatively easy to galvanize support against this enemy throughout the Islamic world, among both Sunnis and Shi’ites, despite their profound disagreements on nearly every other issue.

From bullets to algorithms

Over the past two decades, the Qataris, a state of just 350,000 citizens, have taken this information war to an entirely new level of sophistication. Lacking military might, they have instead deployed billions of petrodollars to infiltrate societies across the Middle East – and now the West – buying influence and undermining institutions from within.

They have elevated Soviet-style manipulation into an era of hyper-adaptability, speaking the jargon of ultra-leftist circles when useful, and that of the ultra-right when convenient.

Today’s Russian Federation, together with China – both harboring imperial ambitions – continue to seek the weakening of the US-led West. What better way than dispersing self-loathing, guilt-ridden anti-American sentiment, jointly fueled by Qatar-funded Islamists and Russian and Chinese operatives, each pursuing their own interests.

The shared objective is the implantation of chaos, self-hatred, and paralyzing doubt among Western societies in general, and Americans in particular, toward the very values upon which the United States was founded: liberty and equality.

As a result, schools, colleges, and universities across the West increasingly teach extremism, Marxism, and activism as core intellectual frameworks. One need not rely on rhetoric to see this; a review of curricula in Australia, Europe, Canada, and the United States – the latter two most affected – is revealing enough.

Never was truth mandatory throughout history, but in a technological world where information ownership is radically decentralized and money can purchase any platform, control of the narrative has become an entirely different battlefield. The only question that remains is whether the West is willing to fight – or surrender – to the dominance of China, Russia, and Islamist warlords.■

Pud says: The Palestinian people as a separate people is purely a Soviet KGB invention which has been adopted by world's hard left controlled mainstream media & the appeaser Socialist governments of the West as a fact, the truth of course is there is no Palestinian people and they have no valid claim to any statehood or any territory that is part of the Land of Israel or anywhere else on the planet.
