'Shameless' Amal Clooney masterminded war crimes charges against Netanyahu along with Hamas leaders in 'outrageous' move condemned by White House

The White House has slammed the International Criminal Court for issuing arrest warrants for Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes.
It comes as DailyMail.com reported that Amal Clooney played a key role in the ICC's move against Netanyahu.
Clooney, a renowned human rights lawyer, was named as one of the six legal experts who helped British prosecutor Karim Khan come to the decision to seek warrants for Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as three Hamas leaders.
President Joe Biden described the move as 'outrageous' as he said there is 'no equivalence' between Israel and Hamas.

'The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous. And let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence — none — between Israel and Hamas. We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security,' the Democrat said in a statement.
There was more criticism against the ICC from the White House, as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday also denounced the ICC's action as 'shameful,' rejecting the court's authority and saying the move put ceasefire efforts at risk.
'We reject the prosecutor's equivalence of Israel with Hamas. It is shameful,' Blinken said in a statement.
Clooney, who is married to Hollywood legend George Clooney, revealed that she had been asked to help Khan evaluate the evidence of alleged war crimes in Gaza and Israel four months ago.

Meanwhile, Israel lashed out at the ICC over the warrants for its two officials.
An Israeli official slammed the ICC's move as a 'baseless blood libel' against the country, while Israel's President Isaac Herzog called the move 'outrageous,' saying it 'cannot be accepted by anyone'.
Muslim prosecutor Karim Khan, of Pakistani descent, announced that he is seeking warrants for the arrest of Netanyahu and Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes.

'[The] ICC prosecutor's baseless blood libel against Israel has crossed a red line in his lawfare efforts against the lone Jewish state and the only democracy in the Middle East,' the official said.

Germany, the US, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic have all fiercely condemned the action by the court's chief prosecutor.
'The Americans have called it 'outrageous', the Italians have called it 'totally unacceptable', the Austrians have said 'the fact the leader of a terrorist organisation, Hamas, whose declared goal is the extinction of the state of Israel is being mentioned at the same time as the democratically-elected representatives of that very state is non-comprehensible'.
'The Czechs have said it is 'appalling and completely unacceptable'.
'There is no moral equivalence between a democratic state exercising its lawful right to self defence and the terrorist group Hamas.'

Bezalel Smotrich, Israeli finance minister, said the decision 'shows hypocrisy and Jew-hatred'.
'Arrest warrants against them are arrest warrants against us all,' he said.
Was there ever any doubt that the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor would eventually accuse Israel of war crimes?
He represents an institution which is a political pressure group as much as a court of law.
Advising the prosecutor, a barrister named Karim Khan, was a panel of jurists including human rights lawyer Baroness Helena Kennedy from the sanctimonious Left.

It's easy for puffed-up ICC lawyers to pronounce judgment, but they are not the ones Hamas wants to exterminate.
Should Labour win power at the election, confused and erratic foreign policy will make the world a more dangerous place.
