COVID CASH COW: Anthony Fauci is the Highest Paid Federal Employee In the United States

A Freedom of Information Request shows that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute for Health’s National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases and current Chief Medical Advisor to the President, is the highest paid US government employee.

Data from the latest year for which federal salaries are available reveal that Fauci made $417,608 in 2019. That salary gave him the dubious distinction of being the highest paid individual out of all four million federal employees.

In contrast, the President of the United States has a legislated salary of $400,000 annually.

The salary data was collected by the organization OpenTheBooks.com who filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the data.

Over the period ranging from 2019 to 2024, the span that would represent Fauci remaining in his position in the Biden administration to term – and providing he doesn’t see a salary increase, Fauci would make a total of $2.5 million dollars, afforded to him by US taxpayers.

In the ten-year period between 2010 and 2019, Fauci made approximately $3.6 million in federal government salary. His pay, since fiscal 2014, has increased from $335,000 to the current $417,608.

In an August, 2020, social media interview, Fauci was asked if he had any money invested in the COVID vaccines that were being developed. Fauci’s answer, through a disingenuous laugh, was, “[N]o, I got zero! I am a government worker. I have a government salary.”

Dr. Fauci became the early face of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, appearing daily, often in a live broadcast, to update the nation on the emerging COVID-19 disease. In March 2020, he convinced President Donald Trump on the 15-day lockdown policy to try and flatten the curve, and reportedly advocated on March 29, 2020, for extending the policy beyond its initial 15 days.

Vice President Mike Pence, who chaired the Coronavirus Task Force, of which Fauci became the face, has an annual salary of $235,100.

Fauci’s Task force colleague, Dr. Deborah Birx, earned $305,972 in 2019.

In fact, Fauci, whose ever-changing medical directives during the COVID pandemic have been less than cohesive, made more in federal salary than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ($223,500), US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts ($270,700), and members in the House of Representatives and Senators who will make $174,000. Four-star military generals fall below Dr. Fauci at $268,000 annually.
