Kirk Cameron: Protecting Our Kids Requires ‘Not Allowing Cross-Dressing Men to Tell Our Children Stories’

Source: https://www.breitbart.com/radio/2023/03/23/exclusive-kirk-cameron-protecting-our-kids-requires-not-allowing-cross-dressing-men-tell-our-children-stories/

Actor Kirk Cameron, author of the children’s book As You Grow, said on Thursday’s edition of the Breitbart News Daily podcast with host Alex Marlow that creating a moral future for America’s children requires protecting them from “cross-dressing men” pushing left-wing sexual ideologies marketed as “drag queen story hour.”

Cameron remarked, “If we want to see the future look like the kind of place we grew up in, or our grandparents grew up in, we need to start investing and planting seeds today that will grow into these future trees of liberty and blessing for our kids.”

“One of the ways we do that is by being the ones who tell them these stories, not allowing cross-dressing men to tell our children stories that lead our kids in a different direction,” he added.

Last week, Cameron hosted a children’s book reading in Fayetteville, Arkansas. One of the featured books, Elephants Are Not Birds, relays a naturalistic and essentialist understanding of sexual dimorphism.

The book’s promotional description reads:

BRAVE Books and Ashley St. Clair have partnered together to tackle the intense topic of gender in our book Elephants Are Not Birds, which follows the story of an Elephant named Kevin. Most can see that there is a distinct difference between an elephant and a bird but in this story, we’ll see that even those lines are blurred when the lies of Culture the Vulture are accepted as truth.

Culture the Vulture convinces Kevin that his ability to sing is one that only birds have, so logically this means that he is a bird. The lies and logic from Culture the Vulture parallel what our culture is attempting to feed the youth of today. The story Elephants Are Not Birds arrives at a similar conclusion society will arrive at when it comes to the idea of gender identity, boys are not girls and elephants are not birds.

The book reading was attended in protest by “trans activists, who were men dressed in drag.”

Cameron described his recent work as an author and organizer of book readings for children as a moral endeavor in opposition to the wickedness of “left woke ideology.”

“There’s a lot at stake,” he said, “and I want to do everything I can in the time I’ve been given to uproot as much evil that I’m able to.”

He cautioned concerned Americans against apathy.

“Men love to build worlds, and you can either build good ones, or you can build bad ones,” he remarked. “If you stay out of the game, I think you get depressed. I think that we’re made to serve people, and sitting on the couch just watching Fox News — or whatever it is — crying in your Chick-fil-A soup, waiting for somebody else to rescue you is not a good plan.”

The current cultural malaise, Cameron concluded, is part of a divine plan.

He stated, “I believe that this cultural setback that we’ve been experiencing is really a divine setup for a national comeback led by the family of faith.”

“Come to these events,” Cameron urged. “Start your own Brave Story Hour. Do something. Go to a board meeting. Read their stories to your children. Pray. Get involved, because the good guys win, the bad guys lose, every time.”

He concluded, “You’ve just got to stick around long enough to see the end of the story, and God is still writing our story here in America.”.

ACLU Files Motion Denying Existence of Women

ACLU Files Motion Denying Existence of Women

The War on Women is real.

Daniel Greenfield

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

The ACLU claims that there’s a War on Women… and it’s fighting it.

"We're Not Stupid: Outrageous Quotes from the War on Women," the ACLU had headlined a post about its pro-abortion activism in 2013.

A decade later the ACLU is arguing in court that women don't exist.

Not only does the ACLU’s current abortion coverage eliminate any mention of women, but in response to a civil rights lawsuit by women, it actually filed a motion arguing they don’t exist.

Last year, the Women’s Liberation Front, one of the few remaining feminist groups that have rejected transgender intersectionality’s displacement of women, filed a lawsuit against California’s prison system over housing men who claim to identify as female together with women.

The feminist groups filing the lawsuit noted that, "of the incarcerated men seeking to transfer to women’s prison 33.8% — FULLY ONE THIRD — are registered sex offenders."

Krystal Gonzalez, one of four women being represented in the lawsuit, reported being sexually assaulted by a man who claimed to be “transgender” in prison. The California penal system however insisted that her male attacker was actually a “transgender woman with a penis.”

The ACLU, along with Lambda Legal and the Transgender Law Center, filed a bizarre motion in response denying that, “‘men as a class’ are defined and differentiated from ‘women as a class’ by their ‘anatomy, genitalia, physical characteristics, and physiology.’”

Are there physiological differences between men and women? Science says there are while the ACLU denies it in what may be one of the most surreal motions ever submitted to a court.

Denying sexual dimorphism is up there with a motion claiming that the earth is flat.

But the ACLU motion went on “to deny the allegation that ‘human beings’ are ‘sexually dimorphic, divided into males and females each with reproductive systems, hormones, and chromosomes that result in significant differences between men[] and women[.]’”

Biology 101 is now an “allegation” to be denied in court.

Maybe the ACLU’s next motion will deny the “allegation” that the earth revolves around the sun.

The civil rights lawsuit the ACLU is fighting uses textbook terminology. Literally. The language of a basic biology textbook is being denied by a former civil rights group fighting against a civil rights suit by a sexual assault victim. The ACLU now hates science, women, and civil rights.

Not to mention free speech.

Within a decade the ACLU has gone from falsely accusing Republicans of a “War on Women” to waging an actual war on women in court. The ACLU has also switched from claiming that Republicans were tolerating sexual assaults on women to fighting women in court so that male sex offenders can continue to sexually assault them. That’s what a War on Women looks like.

It’s hard to know whether this is worse than the ACLU also throwing out freedom of speech.

Even while the ACLU files motions denying the existence of women in court, it still maintains the ACLU Women's Rights Project that was founded by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The ACLU denies that women are a class when filing a motion against a lawsuit by a woman who was sexually assaulted, and then argues that they are a class in employment law.

Women are apparently still a class when they’re being paid less than men, but they’re not a class when a man wearing a dress wants to sexually assault them in the prison system.

The ACLU Women's Rights Project claims that it “addresses the harms to women and girls caught up in the criminal and juvenile justice systems” even while its California chapters are fighting women who have been caught up in the criminal justice systems and suffered harm.

Even while the ACLU fundraises off defending women, it denies they exist. Its legal advocacy has begun to shift away from mentioning pregnant women to referring to “pregnant people”.

The ACLU promises to advocate for women while erasing them in court.

The former civil rights group accuses abortion opponents of supporting “forced pregnancy”, but women in prison have become pregnant while it insists on forcing them to live alongside male rapists. The actual agenda of the ACLU is even worse than its wildest accusations that it and its radical leftists allies have been hurling for decades at social conservatives.

In Washington, the ACLU went to court to stop the release of documents about the transfer of male prisoners, including a serial rapist, into the Washington Correctional Center for Women.

The men included Douglas “Donna” Perry, a serial killer who violently hated women, was charged with murdering three prostitutes and may have killed between nine and twenty women.

Douglas Perry explained that he killed women because he "couldn't breed" and the "women had the ability to have children".

A family member of one of his murder victims had specifically asked that Douglas be kept out of a women's prison so he would not be able to hurt any more women.

But in California’s progressive jurisprudence, only the rights of criminals matter to the Left.

The ACLU's male attorney went so far in that case as to file an injunction against the woman requesting information about the number of men being housed in women's correctional facilities.

“The War on Women 2.0: Do They Think We're Stupid?” the ACLU headlined its arguments a decade ago. The ACLU is waging a War on Women 2.0 and it thinks its supporters are stupid.

In the name of diversity, equity and inclusion, the ACLU wants to force women to live alongside a male serial killer who piled up their naked corpses near the Spokane River.

Douglas Perry was caught because a cold case investigation allowed a "forensic scientist… to be able to develop a male DNA profile from blood" found under one of the victim's fingernails.

Perry is still a man. He was caught because of a male DNA profile. That’s actual science.

But how long will it be until the ACLU argues that DNA evidence can’t be used to stop serial killers like Perry because he now identifies as a woman and therefore he can’t be the suspect.

Perry's defense for the murder of those women was, "I'm not going to admit I killed anybody, I didn't. Donna has killed nobody." When he was asked if "Doug did", he answered, "I don't know if Doug did or not, it was 20 years ago and I have no idea whether he did or did not."

What used to be insanity a mere eight years ago is now the official position of the establishment.

In an extraordinary document, the ACLU denies everything we know about biological science and it does so in the name of not only erasing women, but exposing them to sexual abuse.

The ACLU claims to be fighting to protect women even as it’s forcing them to share a space with serial killers, rapists and sex offenders. What else would you call that except a War on Women?

Indian couple sue only son for not giving them grandchildren

Indian couple sue only son for not giving them grandchildren

Sanjeev and Sadhana Prasad at a lawyer's chamber in Haridwar, India, on May 12.

New Delhi (CNN)A couple in India are suing their son and daughter-in-law

-- for not giving them grandchildren after six years of marriage.

Sadhana and Sanjeev Prasad, who live in Haridwar, a city in northern
Uttarakhand state, filed a petition this month seeking 50 million Indian rupees (about $643,000) in damages from their son, 35, and his wife, 31.
In the petition, viewed by CNN, the couple claim they spent about 20 million
Indian rupees (about $257,000) raising their son, who is an only child.
"They raised him, educated him, made him capable, made him a pilot -- which
was expensive," said the couple's legal representative, Arvind Srivastava, on
    Monday.
"They see people in their neighborhood playing with their grandchildren and feel
like they should also have one.
"They said they didn't marry (their son and daughter-in-law) off so that they can
live alone ... So they said that in the next year, either give us a grandchild or give us compensation."
Srivastava said that as the couple ages, "there is no-one to take care of them,"
and that "all parents wish to be grandparents one day."CNN has not been able
to contact the couple's son and daughter-in-law, and it's not clear if they have
secured legal representation. A procedural hearing for the case is scheduled for Tuesday.
According to the petition, the Prasads also bought a car for their son and daughter-in-law, and paid for their honeymoon.
The lawsuit primarily targets the son and daughter-in-law -- but the petition also lists complaints against the daughter-in-law's family.
Though this kind of lawsuit is rare, the topic of familial obligation has long been controversial in India, where carrying on the family line and caring for elderly parents
and in-laws is often seen as a filial duty.
It's also sometimes a legal duty: parents can claim a monthly allowance from
their adult children under a federal law that seeks to protect parents and senior citizens who may not be able to take care of themselves.
A number of related cases have made headlines in India in recent years, such
as a family dispute over monthly allowances in 2020 that culminated in a Supreme Court judge telling the sons involved,
"Don't forget, you are everything because of (your father)."

Trials for male birth-control pill likely this year – report

Trials for male birth-control pill likely this year

Scientists at the University of Minnesota have developed a birth control pill for men and hope to begin human trials later this year, according to a statement from the American Chemical Society (ACS).

‘Women have many choices for birth control, ranging from pills to patches to intrauterine devices, and partly as a result, they bear most of the burden of preventing pregnancy,’ said researcher Abdullah Al Noman, who will be presenting the results of the study at a meeting of the ACS in March.

Al Noman added: ‘But men’s birth control options – and, therefore, responsibilities – could soon be expanding. Today, scientists report a non-hormonal male contraceptive that effectively prevents pregnancy in mice, without obvious side effects.’

Condoms and vasectomies are currently the only two effective birth control options for men. Both have their flaws: condoms are single-use and sometimes prone to failure, whereas vasectomies are usually considered permanent, barring expensive reversal surgery.

‘Scientists have been trying for decades to develop an effective oral contraceptive, but there are still no approved pills on the market,’ explained Noman.

Previous attempts at developing male birth control pills have resulted in a number of side effects such as depression, weight gain and decreased libido, as they worked by blocking testosterone.

By contrast, the pill developed by scientists at the University of Minnesota is non-hormonal and contains a compound that blocks proteins from binding to Vitamin A, which is known to be vital for fertility in mammals. Scientists have shown the pill to be 99 percent effective in preventing pregnancy in mice and it appears to have no observable side effects.

According to the ACS, the mice were given the compound orally for four weeks and became sterile as a result. Once the team of scientists ceased doping the animals, normal virility resumed after four to six weeks.

Although researchers are optimistic about the results being replicated in human subjects, there is no guarantee of success. Regarding the lack of observable side effects in mice, Jesse Mills, a reproductive scientist at UCLA told Healthline: ‘It’s hard to ask a mouse about moodiness or fatigue or other side effects that may manifest in human studies.’

Gunda George, head of the research lab at the University of Minnesota, said that her team would begin human trials in the third or fourth quarter of 2022.

Changing sex on birth certificates made simpler

Changing sex on birth certificates made simpler for takatapui

        in Aotearoa

New Zealand has enacted a self-identification law that makes it easier to amend the sex recorded on birth certificates. It removes a requirement on applicants to provide evidence of having undergone sex-reassignment procedures.

The country’s parliament on Thursday voted unanimously to pass the legislation, titled the ‘Births, Deaths, Marriages and Relationship Registration Bill’. Once it comes into force, the new law will allow transgender, intersex, gender diverse, and takatapui (a Maori word for LGBT) people to declare their sex on the basis of how they identify.

Although the provision to self-identify sex on birth certificates was introduced in 2018, applicants still had to prove they had undergone sex-reassignment surgery or other medical treatments to change their sex according to their gender identity.

“Today is a proud day in Aotearoa’s history,” Internal Affairs Minister Jan Tinetti said, referring to New Zealand’s Maori name. “Parliament has voted in favour of inclusivity and against discrimination.”Noting that the law change would “make a real difference” for the country’s gender minorities, Tinetti added that it will especially support young people and give them “agency over their identity, which will promote their mental health and sense of wellbeing.”

It will take another 18 months before the provisions come into force, during which other details will be worked out. These include such questions as to who will be allowed to support applications by young people, how to ensure sex markers on birth certificates account for non-binary and cultural options, and what the requirements will be for individuals who seek to change their sex more than once.

The legislation had proved controversial with women’s groups opposing self-sex identification on the grounds that it erodes women’s rights and protections. Nicola Grigg, the women’s spokesperson for the opposition National Party, told MPs that while her party supported the law, it was important to consider the “full range of views” when debating “complex policy and ideas.”

But Tinetti pushed back at opposition to the bill. Noting that “trans misogyny is still misogyny,” she said “real people... have been belittled, mocked and discriminated against” for wanting “to be accepted for who they are and be treated with dignity and respect.”

Letting people self-identify gender in a census is another step towards erasing women completely

Letting people self-identify gender in a census is another step towards erasing women completely

Letting people self-identify gender in a census is another step towards erasing women completely
In a move designed to appease the trans lobby, Scotland’s census will allow people to record what gender they identify as. Not only does this defy biology and make the census pointless, it’s a major blow for women’s rights.

Since 1801, the UK has carried out a census of its population once every decade. To most people, it’s just another task to complete: a few questions to answer, some boxes to tick, job done. Almost every country on Earth holds a census – the compiling and counting has become integral to our understanding of what makes a nation and who is a citizen.

In the UK, the census provides us with an important historical record, while also serving a vital administrative and economic function in the present. Knowing how many people live where steers the allocation of resources, and being aware of their age and sex helps fine-tune this process. After all, there is little point in building a new primary school in a town with a rapidly ageing population.

Counting people is not complicated. But this time around, the census has become mired in controversy. First, there was Covid. While people in England and Wales were deemed able to complete an online form during a pandemic – and did so back in March this year – the Scottish government took a different view. There, the census has been postponed until 2022.

But the census compilers have faced a problem even trickier than Covid: the sex question. How do you tell whether someone is a man or a woman? Oddly, back in 1801, our ancestors needed little help with this. There were no footnotes, no lengthy definitions to grapple with, no protests, and no legal battles. In 200 years of census-taking, the issue of which box to tick if you were non-binary, pan-gender, or a gender-queer demiboy simply never arose. Imagine that!

In 2021, things are very different. England and Wales were first to tackle this thorny problem. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) initially proposed that sex was an ‘umbrella term’ that referred to ‘self-identity’. They advised those still confused not to check between their legs, but to look at an official document like a birth certificate or passport and see what was recorded there. Only, there’s a problem: passports are not a legal record of a person’s sex at all. The gender recorded on a person’s passport can be changed with just a doctor’s note. Thankfully, the campaign group Fair Play for Women brought a judicial review of the matter – which the ONS promptly lost – and in England and Wales the census returned to a purely legal and biological definition of sex.

Now it is Scotland’s turn. National Records of Scotland (NRS), the organisation responsible for organising the census, has clearly learnt nothing from England’s experience. This week it has issued guidance telling people that when it comes to the question on sex, they should answer according to how they self-identify, regardless of the details on their birth certificate or whether or not they have a gender recognition certificate.

NRS specifies, “If you are transgender the answer you give can be different from what is on your birth certificate. You do not need a gender recognition certificate.” In other words, Scottish citizens completing the census are free to ignore biology and legal records and state their gender according to how they happen to feel at the moment they complete the survey. In fact, flying in the face of the English court judgement, NRS advises, “If you are non-binary or you are not sure how to answer, you could use the sex registered on your official documents, such as your passport.” But – just as in England – sex on a passport can be altered without a formal legal process.

As things stand, the Scottish census disregards sex and instead records gender identity. But – as the NRS fully understands – these are two very different things. In the name of appeasing a tiny minority of transgender people seeking validation of their identity through an official survey, the entire category of sex is effectively abolished. This means that the data gathered cannot lay claim to any objective accuracy – it is merely a snapshot of how people feel at a certain point in time. It becomes impossible to draw historical or geographical comparisons. The census itself becomes meaningless: it no longer tells us how many people, of what age and sex, live where.

This matters. As much as transgender activists may wish it were otherwise, some services are very much sex-based. The census helps governments allocate resources. Knowing how many women live in an area helps make the case for money to be put into providing cervical smear tests at a local doctor’s surgery, building a fertility clinic, or refurbishing a maternity unit. Similarly, campaigners are battling hard to keep domestic violence refuges, hospital wards, public toilets, and prisons as single-sex spaces. Altering the definition of sex – and therefore of ‘woman’ – on a document as important as the census makes their job all the more difficult.

A country that cannot clearly define sex in relation to biology cannot claim to be able to accurately gather data. A country that cannot define sex cannot count the number of women in its population and cannot defend women’s sex-based rights. A century ago, suffragettes fought for women’s right to vote and, in the decades since, generations of feminists have continued the fight. Unless we act quickly, their struggles may have been in vain. Women may find they have simply been defined out of existence.

Virginia school board approves controversial transgender policy

Virginia school board approves controversial transgender policy

In what was seen as a victory for LGBTQ advocates, the Loudoun County School Board approved the policy by a 7-to-2 vote

A northern Virginia school board voted Wednesday evening to approve a new policy expanding the rights of transgender students.

Policy 8040 requires teachers to use preferred pronouns and allows "gender-expansive and transgender students" to participate in sports and other activities "in a manner consistent with the student’s gender identity."

It also allows transgender students access to school facilities that correspond to their "consistently asserted gender identity."

The policy follows Virginia law, which directed districts to consider revised anti-harassment guidelines.

In what was seen as a victory for LGBTQ advocates, the Loudoun County School Board approved the policy by a 7-to-2 vote following hours of debate and after minor amendments were made.

"LCPS’ number one priority is to foster the success of all students and ensure they feel safe, secure, accepted, and ready to learn at school," Loudoun County Public Schools said in a statement. "The school division will continue to do its due diligence in creating that environment and remaining open and transparent with all LCPS partners, community members, and stakeholders."

On Wednesday, School Board Member Jeff Morse denounced the guidelines, according to FOX 5 of Washington D.C.

"The policy is not needed. The policy does not solve the issues that it's purported to solve. The policy has forced our focus out of education and I will not support it," Morse said.

"From years past, compared to comparing that to today’s classroom and today’s workforce is like comparing technology of 1980 to today’s technology, our teachers, administrators, and counselors are well trained to identify issues and provide emotional support to students," he added, according to WDVM-TV.

After his comments, Ian Serotkin, another board member, encouraged Morse to speak to "more of our gay and transgender students."

"You seem to imply that bullying or discrimination against LGBTQ students in LCPS is a thing of the past and doesn’t happen today," said Serotkin. "If you believe that I’d encourage you to speak to more of our gay and transgender students."

Supporters of the policy celebrated its passage.

"I think that they have spent years fighting through these issues and fighting through the discrimination, the harassment, the bullying, and this is going to be an opportunity for them to rise up out of that and into a school year that is going to fully embrace them," said Chris Candice Tuck, Equality Loudoun President. "It's going to allow them to learn at their fullest potential."

Wednesday’s meeting was sparsely attended -- a contrast with the board meeting Tuesday when parking lot rallies were held and a public comment period went over four hours. Nearly 200 people came inside to speak.

The meeting length prompted the school board to postpone its decision until Wednesday.

Tuesday's meeting came just a few months after physical education teacher Tanner Cross denounced the policies. Cross told the school board he wouldn't "affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it's against my religion. It's lying to a child, it's abuse to a child, and it's sinning against our God."

His subsequent suspension and lawsuit poured fuel onto an already fiery debate over free speech and identity in one of the nation's wealthiest counties, located about miles 35 miles west of Washington D.C.

Ryan Mooney, who identified as a former LCPS student, had recounted his own alleged molestation. He was worried the new policy would create loopholes for further abuse

"I don't want the sexual predators to slip through the cracks, or [inaudible] these loopholes and these policies provide," Mooney said.

Hundreds of people also attended a meeting in June when the board considered the proposal publicly for the first time. The board’s chair cut short public comment when parents refused to quiet down.
