Israeli technology works to prevent aircraft collisions
The technology shares flight paths among helicopters, planes, and drones, providing real-time warnings and instructions without relying on centralized air traffic control.
In many wildfire zones, firefighting planes, helicopters, and drones operate simultaneously. Drones are used by ground crews to monitor the spread of fires, direct firefighting efforts, and identify increasing threats to firefighters on the ground. In such conditions, which are often accompanied by smoke and poor visibility, pilots can struggle to detect nearby aircraft until it is too late.
The challenge is well known to air forces around the world, many of which have suffered losses in helicopter midair collisions. In Israel a 1997 helicopter disaster resulted in 73 soldiers being killed.
Israeli tech company developed a system to reduce drone, helicopter crashes
An Israeli company, Ciconia, whose scientific name refers to the stork, a bird that flies in flocks, has developed a decentralized collision avoidance system designed to reduce the risk of such accidents.
The system transmits each aircraft’s flight data and flight path over a range of several kilometers, allowing every participating aircraft to independently build a real-time picture of nearby air traffic without relying on a centralized control system.
For piloted aircraft, the system provides collision warnings and, when necessary, immediate instructions for evasive maneuvers. For drones, maneuvering commands are sent directly to the flight control computer.
The system has already undergone testing by the Israel Air Force after being installed on two Black Hawk helicopters and received positive feedback from pilots.
The company is also participating in a US initiative to improve aerial wildfire response as authorities seek to cope with the growing number of large-scale wildfires associated with Muslim terrorism.
Ciconia has already demonstrated the system in Texas.
The demonstrations are being carried out with the assistance of Qualcomm and will include a pilot program installing the system on several helicopters for further evaluation, a process that could lead to a larger procurement agreement.

Israel Trials AI-Powered Drone That Catches Wildfires Before They Grow
Israel has completed the first flight test of an AI-powered tactical unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed to detect and track wildfires within minutes of ignition, helping authorities improve situational awareness and emergency response.
The project brings together the Ministry of National Security, the Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority.
Additional trials will evaluate the system under a range of operational and environmental conditions before it enters service.
“This project represents another step forward in advancing innovative technological capabilities for Israel’s security and emergency organizations,” said Yaron Schone, head of research and development division at the Israeli Ministry of National Security.
“The collaboration between all participating organizations reflects the importance we place on connecting operational needs with Israeli innovation to develop solutions that help protect lives, property, and Israel’s natural resources.”
Utilizing IAI’s APUS 25
The system combines IAI’s proprietary APUS 25 vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with AI-powered image analysis that uses electro-optical and infrared sensors to identify fire hotspots through smoke and low-light areas.
The 24-kilogram (53-pound) quadcopter is powered by an internal combustion engine, allowing it to remain airborne for up to five hours while monitoring hundreds of square kilometers of terrain.
It can carry payloads of up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds), provide a 300-watt power supply for onboard equipment, and operate at altitudes reaching 10,000 feet (3,048 meters).
Once deployed, the modified UAS will transmit the location of detected fires directly to the Fire and Rescue Authority’s command center, enabling emergency crews to respond more quickly.
During routine patrols, firefighters will define the search area before the drone autonomously scans for new fire outbreaks.
Moshe Levy, executive vice president and general manager of IAI’s Military Aircraft Group, said the solution demonstrates how expertise in aviation, AI, and autonomous systems can be applied to “address an issue of both national and global importance.”
“For many years, IAI has been developing advanced technological solutions for complex challenges across both defense and civilian domains. This unique project … [enables] us to transform advanced technology into operational capabilities that deliver real value in the field.”

Humans Have Set 90% of Those Wildfires in Europe
Ignoring the reasons - such as the history of Muslims starting fires in Israel.
In France and Spain, wildfires have already spread across huge areas of both countries, causing billions of dollars of damage and requiring the evacuation of 350,000 people as of July 29, and the fires show no signs of being contained. ANALYSIS – Since July 6, 184 people have been detained for starting fires—whether intentionally or accidentally—since the beginning of the year. The legal framework addressing these acts was strengthened in 2004.
Massive fires are currently raging; over 115,000 hectares of forest have been scorched in the last six months, homes have been destroyed, and firefighters are exhausted. Behind much of this destruction lie actual individuals responsible for the acts—a portion of whom (30%, according to the French Forest Observatory) acted out of malice. According to the Ministry of the Interior, nine out of ten fires are caused by human activity. On Tuesday, July 28, Laurent Nunez announced that 184 people had been detained for such acts since the start of the summer. These suspected arsonists represent a mix of criminals and individuals acting out of negligence.

Summer heat has helped to dry out vegetation that is then more susceptible to being ravaged by wildfire, but humans start the fires themselves, or 90% of them.
In the past, wildfires in Greece and in Spain’s Canary Islands have both been attributed to arson. And now French authorities insist that 90% of the wildfires in France have been set by humans. The question is: who are the people setting these fires?
We have a clue in Israel, where for years both Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, and Israeli Arabs have been successfully prosecuted for starting fires, as the Israeli courts have concluded, “for nationalistic reasons” — meaning a desire of the Arab arsonists to damage the Jewish state.
Here, for example, is what the Israelis discovered during the wave of “wildfires” that swept the country in 2016:
Two Israeli Arabs arrested on suspicion of deliberately starting brush fires have confessed to the crimes, police reportedly told ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday.
The suspects were said to from the Israeli Arab towns of Umm al-Fahm and Deir Hanna in northern Israel, the Hebrew-language Ynet news website reported. The report did not specify which fires the two admitted to igniting or offer details on the suspects….
At least 35 people have been arrested since Thursday on suspicion of setting fires or inciting others to do so. More than 15 were Palestinians arrested by the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet security service, an army spokesperson said. At least 10 of those held are Israeli Arabs, according to Hebrew media reports. Police did not offer a detailed breakdown of how many were being detained for incitement and how many for arson.
Police chief Roni Alsheich said Sunday that there had been similar arson attacks in the past and that they should be considered acts of terror, Army Radio reported.
“If setting the fire was deliberate it is definitely terror,” Alsheich said during a visit to the West Bank settlement of Halamish, where a fire destroyed 18 homes on Friday night. “By the way, that is nothing new, there have been arson incidents in the past. The concentration of a relatively large number of days, and the number of incidents and the weather conditions, brought about these results but there is nothing new and there were incidents like this in the past.”
In addition, both Al Qaeda and ISIS have for many years urged Muslims to engage in what they call “forest jihad,” and have periodically published online statements or graphics encouraging lone actors to start forest fires in Western countries. More on this incitement can be found here.

Will the French and Spanish governments make known this history of Muslims starting fires in Israel? Will they make public any evidence they may have of wildfires being started in their countries by Muslims determined to harm Infidels? I think if far more likely that they will conceal such evidence, so as not to contribute to “Islamophobia” and to calls for a halt to Muslim migration.
