Recipes - Baked Ravioli Casserole
Here's another great idea from Tess Cooks4U. The raviolis are a shortcut, but the sauce is from scratch. You can also use meat ravioli if you wish, but this video uses the cheese one (your favorite brand is what'll probably work best for you).
INGREDIENTS:
2 (16oz) containers of cheese raviolis1 pound grated mozzarella cheese
grated parmesan cheese
meat sauce - recipe below
RECIPE:
Coat the bottom of the pan with sauce, then layer ravioli, sauce, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, REPEAT. You should get three layersBake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes - covered.
Uncover and bake for 10-15 more minutes or until cheese
is slightly golden brown.
***If you like a nice cheese crust on top, bake uncovered.
Enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:
1 Pound ground beef1 Cup diced onions
1 Cup diced bell peppers
1 Container of slice mushrooms
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 28 oz. can tomato sauce
2 Tsp. basil
2 Tsp. oregano
2 Tsp. Italian seasonings
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. tomato paste

black pepper (to taste)
***extra seasonings as wanted - I added 1 tsp combination of basil/italian seasonings/oregano in the last 10 minutes of cooking. This gives it a burst of freshness and extra flavor.
RECIPE:
In a pan on medium heat add ground beef, stir, chop and cook for 5 minutes until most of liquid is absorbed. You can drain the excess fat.Add onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, salt and black pepper. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add minced garlic and tomato paste. Stir and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
Add in can of crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Turn up heat to med high, stir to combine. Add in seasonings, stir to combine.
Bring up to a boil, turn heat down to a low simmer, cover and cook for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.
After 45 minutes give it a taste test. Add seasonings as you wish. Stir and cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve over spaghetti and top with parmesan cheese. Or add parmesan cheese to sauce, add spaghetti, stir to combine.
Enjoy.
