Recipes - Seven Days, AuntiE's homemade Turkey Stuffing

Seven Days,  AuntiE's homemade Turkey Stuffing

Color me shocked if you have not started your homemade turkey stuffing! What? You do not remember how to proceed!

1. Cover your dining room table with thoroughly cleaned plastic.

2. See those crusts and day old pieces of read. Cut them into cubes...NOW.

3. Throw them on the covered dining room table.

4. Repeat step three every day until November 28.

5. Every other day stroll past your dining room table wafting sage, onion powder and other herbs over your accumulated bread cubes.Make sure to evenly waft your herbs.

6. On November 28, collect your seasoned bread cubes, place them in a large container (that has a cover).

7. Dice celery and onion and throw into the container with your seasoned bread cubes. (How much is entirely up to your personal preference.)

At this point, you are either stuffing that bird or creating a stuffing casserole. My family is a casserole family** so the remaining steps are casserole.

8. Smell that bird cooking away? Upon the bird being cooked, you will take the liquid that giving bird gave you, skim the fat off and douse your seasoned bread cubes.

9. Place the moistened bread cubes in a pretty china casserole dish. (It is Thanksgiving. Pretty dishes are mandatory) Place in the oven an warm throughly.

** If preparing a casserole, you have the option of adding oysters or sausage.

I see y’all wondering where the specific measurements are. The only measurements I was taught were by following my maternal grandmother around the dining room table and watching what she did.
