East Asian countries like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are trying to show themselves as being opposed to Russia. However, their actions are speaking louder than their words, and that’s what we’re going to talk about.
Countries in East Asia, like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are technically part of the ‘West’. They have all issued statements against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Japan has even sanctioned Moscow. However, these countries are guzzling tremendous amounts of Russian fuel while also claiming to stand with Ukraine. They are also enhancing energy cooperation with Moscow.
