Democrats Cleverly Game Alaska Ranked Choice Voting, Steal Election From Repub Palin

Sarah Palin LOSES special election: Democrat Mary Peltola will become first native Alaskan in Congress as she snatches House seat from Republican - spoiling former governor's long-awaited political comeback

  • Sarah Palin on Wednesday was defeated in the race to claim Alaska's only seat in the U.S. House
  • Palin, 58, hoped to stage a political comeback in the state where she was once governor
  • The results came 15 days after the August 16 election
  • Palin can run for the seat again in the November election

Sarah Palin has lost her bid for Alaska's only U.S. House seat, ending her hopes of a political comeback in the state where she was once governor.

Palin, 58, lost to Democrat Mary Peltola - the first Alaska Native to serve in the House, and the first woman to hold the seat.

Peltola tweeted on Wednesday evening, and reminded her supporters the seat was only secured temporarily, until the November elections.

Peltola, who is Yup'ik, will serve the remaining months of the late Republican U.S. Rep. Don Young's term. Young held the seat for 49 years before his death in March.

Palin's defeat in the special election does not necessarily mean she has lost her shot for the U.S. House seat.

Along with Peltola, she is among the candidates vying for a full two-year term that will be decided in the November general election.

Peltola's victory came in Alaska's first statewide ranked choice voting election.

She will be the first Democrat to hold the seat since 1972.

Palin railed against the ranked voting system.

Peltola most recently worked for a commission whose goal is to rebuild salmon resources on the Kuskokwim River (an Eco-loon).

She emphasized her support of abortion rights and said she wanted to elevate issues of ocean productivity.

Peltola is pro-choice and in favor of  gun law "reform".

I'm betting a lot of outside money went into that campaign.

Democrat policies do not work. Illegal immigration, huge crime waves, higher taxes, higher food prices and higher gas prices. That is what voting democrat has gotten us. Why do people want more of that?

The only reason Palin lost was due to the state's new ranking system of voting. The GOP vote was split. The district has more Republicans than Democrats. Before the next vote to fill the seat in November, the GOP would do well to consolidate down to a single candidate.

The GOP needs to consolidate down to a single best candidate before elections, or their vote will continue to be split under the new ranked voting system.

Do you know about the "ranked" voting system that was just used for the first time? All this shows is that the GOP vote was split.

Non-rigged elections are a thing of the past.

If you voted Democrat, expect Alaska's crime rates, drug use, & homelessness to skyrocket exponentially, and you only have yourselves to blame.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for lawlessness, inflation, bad economy, and more spending than anyone can imagine on nothing.

Cheaters gonna cheat. "Rank choice voting and mail in ballots". Dems can't win any other way.

Another one who likes murdering children - when will they learn?
