We knew this was coming. But this morning the House Democrats officially drove off the cliff.
After caterwauling for weeks about quid pro quo and bribery, House Democrats finally announced their two articles of impeachment against President Trump. And neither of them are quid pro quo or bribery.
Nope.
They’re driving off the cliff by accusing the President of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
So the Kabuki Theater they subjected us to for the last month amounted to nothing.
But then again, we all knew that, didn’t we? None of their witnesses witnessed anything. The transcript of that phone call was widely available — even to us.
Yet still they hopped in the clown car and drove off the cliff.
Why?
Well, according to that venal little worm Adam Schiff, if they don’t proceed off the cliff, Trump will “cheat” in 2020 the same way he “cheated” in 2016.
He cheated in 2016?
That’ll be news to Robert Mueller who determined he did not “cheat.”

So to sum up. The Democrats are committing electoral suicide because:
1. Their 2020 candidates suck.
2. Trump will easily defeat every one of them.
3. So they have to impeach him because otherwise he’ll win reelection.

The only people abusing their power are the House Democrats – most notably that little shit-weasel Adam Schiff.
When you’re using the impeachment process to destroy your political opponent in hopes it will hobble him next November, you’re the ones abusing your power. You’re the ones who are trying to cheat.
These assholes know they cannot beat Trump at the ballot box. So they’re trying to preemptively frame their impending loss as “Trump cheated.”

They can babble on about how this is “thoughtful” and “prayerful” and “solemn.” But outside of the Democrat/media bubble, Americans can see this for what it is – Democrats exploiting impeachment to destroy their political opponent.
This tweet is from someone who does not like President Trump and has no plans to vote for him in 2020. And even he can see what’s happening here.
And if the rank and file Democrats in the House willingly follow that rancid skid mark Schiff off the cliff and vote to impeach, the only people they’ll destroy will be themselves.
Watching Democratic leaders pretend to be sincere and sad about #impeachment as they follow Nadler and Schiff into the narrow ravine is accidentally hilarious.
They will pay a hefty price for this next November.
And Congressional Democrats won’t be the only ones. Following in their wake as they careen off the cliff is the hapless Joe Biden. A Senate trial will do far more damage to him than to President Trump.
In other words, in their effort to cripple Trump going into 2020, they’ll cripple the one candidate positioned to win the Democrat nomination.
Whether out of seething hatred for President Trump or ingrained bitterness over his 2016 victory over Hillary, the Democrats will not only lose the Presidency, they will lose the House as well.
Sure, all the Dems who are driving this car off the cliff are safe. Schiff, Pelosi, Nadler, Maxine – none of those guys will lose their seats. But if the swing district Democrats climb in behind them and vote for these ridiculous articles of impeachment, they’re toast.
And while the bar to impeach might be so low even a worm like Adam Schiff can slither over it, the Senate trial is a whole different story.
It will be brutal – not for Trump, but for the Democrats.
