Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards unveiled an underground missile base at an undisclosed Gulf location on Friday, Iranian state media reported, at a time of heightened tension between Tehran and the United States.
"The base is one of several bases housing the Guards' Navy's strategic missiles," the state media quoted the head of the Guards, Major General Hossein Salami, as saying.

Last year, the Guards said Iran had built underground “missile cities” along the Gulf coastline, warning of a “nightmare for Iran’s enemies”. "These missiles have ranges of hundreds of kilometers, enjoy pinpoint accuracy and huge destructive power, and can overcome the enemy’s electronic warfare equipment," Salami said.

He said the base was "one of several bases housing the Navy’s strategic missiles."

There have been periodic confrontations in the Gulf in recent years between the Guards and the US military, which has accused the Guards’ navy of sending fast attack boats to harass US warships as they pass the Strait of Hormuz.

Tensions have been high between Tehran and Washington since 2018, when President Donald Trump exited the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers which limits the Islamic Republic's nuclear program and reimposed sanctions that have crippled the country's economy.

The Seven Deadly Sins of Woke

The Seven Deadly Sins of Woke

Cultural suicide is dismantling the West.

http://Share to TwitterShare toto Print

“Woke” as a term originated in the 1940s. Oxford Dictionaries recorded its early politically conscious usage in a 1962 article, "If You're Woke You Dig It" by William Melvin Kelley in The New York Times. The term has reared its ugly head again recently as a concept symbolizing perceived awareness of social issues and enlightened social movement. By the late 2010s, woke had been adopted as a generic slang term broadly associated with left-wing politics, social justice activism and progressive or socially liberal causes such as anti-racism.

Many believe woke is simply a manifestation of adolescent consciousness and wannabe activism. Besides the social idiocy with which woke is aligned, the term’s problem stems linguistically from the fact that it can be used as an article (woke actor), a noun (AOC is woke), an adjective (Chuck Schumer is a woke senator), a verb (the radical feminist really woked her accounting class), an adverb (Kamala Harris governs woke), a conjunction (progressive and woke), preposition (Biden’s stealing the 2020 election from Trump was a woke election) and last but not least, an interjection (woke, how socially responsible of her).

Perhaps woke isn’t a word form at all, but simply a leading indicator of abject stupidity. It would seem that if you are a progressive, woke has become both your being and your nothingness (with half-hearted apologies to Phenomenological Ontologist Jean-Paul Sartre). Jorge González-Gallarza argues convincingly what woke is a cannon of identity politics, “a toxic outgrowth of Protestant Christianity that threatens the American regime of liberty and self-government…both Christian and woke worldviews build moral orders around the categories of innocence and transgression—but with vastly different effects.”

González-Gallarza continues, “By placing atonement for past transgressions at the center of politics, wokeness seeks to apportion power in proportion to innocence. Note that how in woke terminology ‘speaking as’ a member of an innocent group instantly confers a legitimacy akin to what Coleman Hughes calls ‘heightened moral knowledge.’” Ah ha! All those George Floyd rioters last summer had to be given a hall pass from prosecution and lionization from Democrats because of their moral courage! So that’s how it goes!

Those who aspire to live the woke life are electrified at being able to thrust their cravenly nonsensical views in our face. All of us, if truth be told, believe in justice but only if it is applied blindly to every morsel of our Constitutional Republic. When the woke are blinded by the fires of their social justice insurrection, they are unable to see the injustice of their destruction of businesses and the myriad lives who overcame real injustices to create their own American Dream. When woke suppresses other’s rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, it becomes a vacuous four-letter word. You may be innocent of the soup du jour social injustices but if you dare to question methods and results, you likely will be shouted down, knocked down and put down with a loud WOKE YOU! Here are the seven deadly sins of woke.

Deadly Sin OneOpposition to a woke cause is by definition fascist and probably racist. The woke like to justify their agenda by using sticks and stones to break the bones of those who question their ideas and methods.

Deadly Sin Two:  Create a ‘Sucker Class’. Use a cause to suck in those who want their social justice in the form of reparations, free college, and debt forgiveness. The fact that the media, academic and political classes propagate such nonsense is living proof positive of Tom Waits’ version of P.T. Barnum’s alleged quote, “There is a sucker born every minute, and you just happened to be coming along at the right time.”

Deadly Sin ThreeDefunding the police is social justice for a just cause. They wish to deny our safety, and sadly that of the people who need protection most (think Chicago, Portland, Baltimore, New York). Those who fall for this stupidity makes them dumber than a box of rocks as they have earned the increased violence and shame their wokeness has created.

Deadly Sin FourIt’s ok to destroy personal property*. The asterisk means--*"We don’t live here so it’s your problem sucker!”

Deadly Sin FiveWoke is symbolized by meaningless slogans. Being woke is venerated and celebrated by organizations and their vapid ideological symbols like BLM, LGBTQXYZ, ProChoice, Antifa and Climate Change while denying others their right to a voice, especially those of unborn children.

Deadly Sin SixWe are a non-violent loosely organized movement. Hundreds of millions of dollars are funneled in the name of social justice, supporting months-long rioting, assaults on peaceful counter protesters and threats to law enforcement. George Soros and the Big Tech trillionaires support the theme, “You can’t be woke if you are broke….and we’re here to fund you!”

Deadly Sin SevenWe are angry about———. Fill in the blank. Woke means always having to be angry and never having to say you’re sorry or wrong. Stomping on heads, burning down neighborhoods and denying others their rights is legitimized because they allegedly hate oppression of their pet causes but not of other people’s. To the Woksters, any and all illegal and immoral means justify getting their way; is probably the deadliest sin of all!

Unless our Republican political class unites and grows some cojones, America will be living with these seven deadly sins for the next four years, if not longer.

What a One-Party Oligarchy Means Going Forward

What a One-Party Oligarchy Means Going Forward

The harrowing cost of Congress certifying electoral fraud.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

President Trump issued that statement early Thursday, and Democrats were quick to follow.

Joe Biden said those who stormed the Capitol were “domestic terrorists. It’s that simple.”

Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer called for Trump’s immediate removal under the 25th Amendment, calling Trump “a very dangerous person” who committed an “act of sedition.”

Joining Schumer and Pelosi was Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger, on the grounds that Trump is unfit for office and to “ensure the next few weeks are safe for the American people.” Pelosi also supports a resolution by Democrat Cory Bush to expel from Congress unnamed Republicans who allegedly enabled Trump.

He had the temerity to interrupt the previous president’s plan to transform America into a one-party oligarchy, and that launched the left’s jihad against him. In four years, in the face of furious opposition, President Trump achieved more than anybody thought he would, and Trump’s middle-east peace accords drew widespread praise.

Trump never got his day in court, so by all indications the president of the United States has no standing to present evidence of election fraud. The illegitimate Joe Biden now reprises the ancien régime of 2008-2016, and that should have 74 million Trump voters appraising the forces arrayed against them.

Long before they caved to election fraud, federal legislators were representing the Washington establishment to their districts, not the other way around. As the late Frank Zappa put it, those folks up in Washington just look out for number one. And number one ain’t you. You ain’t even number two. Powerful precincts of the establishment deployed against Trump supporters, and that will surely ramp up under Biden.

The Department of Justice spearheaded the coup attempt against Trump and despite a mountain of evidence declined to file any charges against key players Comey, Strzok, McCabe et al. The DOJ is basically the pro-bono law firm of the deep state, and not a friend of freedom moving forward. Neither is the vaunted Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Like the KGB, the FBI takes the man then finds the crime, and the bureau is not adverse to “wet” operations.  For example, in 1992 the FBI deployed military force against a single family, and FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi shot Vicki Weaver through the head as she held her infant daughter. Attorney General William Barr sprung to the defense of the FBI sniper, not his innocent victim. So no surprise that in 2020 Barr looked the other way at election fraud.

In 2020, while leftist mobs burned buildings and murdered police officers such as David Dorn, reports of FBI response were hard to find. Note that it was the U.S. Marshals, not the FBI, that took down leftist thug Michael Reinoehl, who murdered Aaron J. Danielson, smeared as a “far right supporter.”

Joe Biden has described Antifa as “an idea, not an organization,” a concept echoed by FBI boss Christopher Wray last September.  Wray has kept rather quiet about the murder of former DHS whistleblower Philip Haney last February. Those who pushed back on Islamic terrorism during the Trump administration should be now be watching their back. Like Kamala Harris, Joe Biden will not speak the names of the terrorists’ victims. That hardly enhances the safety of the public, also subject to other powerful forces.

The composite character president, formerly known as Barry Soetoro, deployed the IRS against conservative groups and individuals. Joe Biden has every incentive to do likewise, and the powerful IRS is hardly his only weapon.

Under the prevailing regime of white coat supremacy, citizens can be stripped of their basic rights with impunity. New York state is considering Assembly Bill A416, under which the governor can “order the removal and/or detention” of persons who are or “may be” a danger to public health. They can detained in an “appropriate facility” until the “department” decides to turn them loose.

With no apology to Dalton Trumbo, this could be the beginning of the American concentration camp. Note also that Dr. Anthony Fauci is extending lockdowns until late 2021, possibly longer, and the racist vaccine distribution system menaces elderly persons of pallor. The left automatically consigns this group to the oppressor class, and they will get no respect from the establishment media.

Recall that Neil (rhymes with puto) Cavuto of Fox News broke away from a press conference on election fraud. The news must now be examined for what it conceals, which can be considerable. The New York Times set the standard by concealing Stalin’s terror famine in Ukraine. Modern counterparts look the other way at BLM-Antifa violence, or pass it off as “peaceful protest.”

The ancien régime headed by Joe Biden is hostile and the reactionary forces formidable.  On the other hand, a patriotic movement is on the rise, rededicated to the God-given rights to life and liberty, and as David Horowitz says, “is prepared to defend them.” As President Trump likes to say, we’ll have to see what happens.

GRAVE CONCERN: SOUTH AFRICAN UNDERTAKERS & BURIAL STAFF FACE DEATH, STRESS AMID PANDEMIC

GRAVE CONCERN: SOUTH AFRICAN UNDERTAKERS & BURIAL STAFF FACE DEATH, STRESS AMID PANDEMIC

The National Funeral Practitioners Association of South Africa's Muzi Hlengwa said the surge in burials meant workers were being exposed to COVID-19 more frequently

JOHANNESBURG - The National Funeral Practitioners Association of South Africa on Friday said an alarming number of undertakers and burial staff were losing their lives to the coronavirus.

Funeral parlour owners said they were under immense pressure and were battling to cope with the high number of burials they have had to perform, with hundreds of people dying from the virus every day.

The association's Muzi Hlengwa said the surge in burials meant workers were being exposed to COVID-19 more frequently.

He said the industry was also battling to keep up with the high demand for coffins as the death toll continued its grim climb.

Hlengwa pleaded with South Africans to take the necessary precautions to stay healthy.

“The major problem is us running out of coffins and yesterday, we were looking at 47 coffins, but we could only manage 20, which means the other 27 will have to wait until coffins are available.”

South Africa: Khoisan protest at Union Buildings enters into third year

South Africa: Khoisan protest at Union Buildings enters into third year

Pretoria - The Khoisan protest at the Union Buildings to be recognised as the first nation of the country and rightful owners of the land continues into a third year.

Having endured a dark Christmas after the lights around their camp were switched off, they are even more determined to spend 2021 on the lawns of the iconic houses of government in the capital for as long as their demands are not met.

Leader of the group which sleeps in small tents near the Nelson Mandela statue, Chief Khoisan SA, said they were threatened to be removed from the premises with a court order in November but they still did not leave.

He said they found out that the Minister for Public Works and Infrastructure, Patricia de Lille, stopped whatever intentions officials had of using a court order to remove them, in favour of engagement with them.

“The bottom line is we are not going anywhere until the demands of our marginalised people are met. Currently we have seen some positive engagements and are happy with that.”

The protest started when the group arrived in Pretoria on foot from the Eastern Cape in 2018 to find out what had become of a memorandum of demands submitted during their first camp-out in 2017.

At the end of November they marked two years living on the lawns, and even have a small vegetable patch. “Switching off the lights before Christmas did not bother us at all, we are the bushmen, we don’t need lights,” Khoisan said.

“This year we will be marking year number three living here. We are going to be here for a long time if we don’t get what we want.

“We hope that this new year will bring some positive change and for once we can start making some strides to addressing the plight of my people.”

The chief said his people were also calling on the government and President (Cyril) Ramaphosa to scrap the term “Coloured” from its official documents and make the rare languages of the Khoisan people official South African languages.

“We want the removal of the word ‘Coloured’ because in 1991 they banned use of the word when they also banned the ‘K-word’. The fact that some people call themselves Coloured doesn’t mean it’s an appropriate term.”

Washington tightens airline and airport security, citing ’mob mentality’ among passengers

Washington tightens airline and airport security, citing ’mob mentality’ among passengers

WASHINGTON - The District of Columbia’s airports and the airlines that fly into them tightened security on Thursday after deadly riots at the US Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump.

Rob Yingling, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which operates Reagan National and Dulles International airports, said that they remained open but that travellers should expect to see "an increased law enforcement presence as they travel through the airport." Yingling said passenger counts were also likely to be higher than normal during the coronavirus pandemic.

Officials with American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines said they also were taking additional security measures in the Washington region.

American and United increased staffing and said they were working closely with law enforcement. Charles Hobart, a United spokesman, said the company would "continuously monitor the situation in real time."

American decided to stop offering alcohol in first class on Thursday on flights in the D.C. region. The airline already had halted alcohol service in economy class in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We will continue to enforce policies that ensure our customers' and team members' safety and well-being," the airline said in a statement.

Delta said in a memo to employees that it urged crews with layovers in Washington to remain in their hotels and would increase security at National, Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International Marshall airports in ways "both seen and unseen."

A spokesperson for the Transportation Security Administration declined to comment on specific safety measures but said the agency is prepared.

"The TSA is always on high alert. We prepare for all contingencies," said spokesman Carter Langston. "For security reasons we do not discuss the details other than to confirm that there are always multiple layers of security in place, especially when events justify an increased security posture."

On Wednesday night, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA union called for people involved in the insurrection at the Capitol to be barred from flying. Sara Nelson, the union's president, described a "mob mentality" among some passengers on flights into the Washington area ahead of protests that devolved into rioting.

"Their violent and seditious actions at the Capitol today create further concern about their departure from the D.C. area," Nelson said in a Wednesday statement. "Acts against our democracy, our government and the freedom we claim as Americans must disqualify these individuals from the freedom of flight."

On Thursday, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee also called on federal officials to add those involved in the attack on the Capitol to the federal No Fly List.

"Given the heinous domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol yesterday, I am urging the Transportation Security Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to use their authorities to add the names of all identified individuals involved in the attack to the federal No-Fly List and keep them off planes," Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said in a statement.

He said the list should include all individuals who entered the Capitol.

Hobart, the United spokesman, whose crews are represented by the union, said that the company echoed Nelson's statement and that its employees had been moved out of downtown Washington hotels since Monday.

In the staff memo, Delta said it already was pursuing action against people who disrupted flights and would continue to do so.

A spokesman for BWI referred questions to the TSA. Southwest Airlines, which has a major operation at the airport, declined to comment on security.
