The unequivocal remarks come in reaction to allegations of ties between Michigan Senate Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed and the Islamist group.

Israel’s Christian envoy on Saturday urged global caution against politicians supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood attaining political power in the West.

The unequivocal remarks come in reaction to allegations of ties between Michigan Senate Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed and the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Middle Eastern Christians have seen what happens when the Muslim Brotherhood’s vision of society gains political power,” Ambassador George Deek wrote on X. “Heed their warning or learn the hard way.”

The envoy, who was born in the Israeli port city of Jaffa to a prominent Christian Arab family, retweeted a video by a Chaldean/Assyrian Christian in Michigan explaining why voting for El-Sayed in the Midwestern state is dangerous for the West.

The vehemently anti-Israel El-Sayed has denied any connection to the Muslim Brotherhood despite past statements sympathetic to the radical organization.

His half-sister disclosed in past social media posts that their family has had ties with the Muslim Brotherhood, including family members in Egypt jailed for their activism in the organization.

Congress has investigated the Islamist group as a potential global threat.

“We as Christians know more than anyone else what happens after having a lawless regime take over,” Deek told a delegation of Christian pastors visiting Israel last month.

RFK Jr. defends Israel and Jews in blistering attack on Islamism

US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praises Jewish contributions to humanity, hails Israel as a bastion of freedom and accuses Iran, Gulf states and the Muslim Brotherhood of fueling anti-Israel propaganda.

US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. published a lengthy and strongly worded post on X over the weekend defending Israel and the Jewish people, attacking the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamism, and accusing Iran and Gulf states of financing anti-Israel propaganda.

The post, which runs to approximately 3,700 words, came in response to criticism of Kennedy's remarks about the scientific achievements of Arab countries over recent decades.

Kennedy argued that major US media outlets had taken his comments out of context and portrayed them as racist and Islamophobic. He insisted that his criticism was not directed at Arabs or Islam as a whole, but at political Islamism, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood.

"My speech was not a critique of Arabs or Islam, but of Islamism," Kennedy wrote. He described Islamism as "a toxic ideology conceived and promoted by the terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood."

"Criticizing Islamism is neither Islamophobic nor racist," he added.

Kennedy noted that the Muslim world had experienced periods of significant scientific and cultural flourishing in the past, when Muslim scholars made major contributions to medicine, mathematics, philosophy and other fields.

However, he argued that the rise of extremist Islamist movements had undermined freedom of thought, research and scientific progress. He accused the Muslim Brotherhood of promoting an ideology hostile to democracy, women's rights, freedom of expression and Western values.

To illustrate his argument, Kennedy cited figures highlighting the gap in scientific achievements between Arab countries and other nations. Among other examples, he claimed that Japan registered more than 300,000 patents in 2024, while several Arab countries combined registered fewer than 10,000.

Kennedy then turned to a comparison with the Jewish people, emphasizing that Jews make up just 0.2% of the world's population but have made contributions to science, medicine, economics and culture far beyond their proportion of the population.

"There is no ethnic or religious group that has contributed more than Jews to the welfare of humanity or to the advancement of liberal democracy," he wrote.

He said Jews had received approximately 22% of all Nobel Prizes awarded since 1901. He cited a number of prominent Jewish scientists and inventors, including Albert Einstein and the developers of the polio vaccines, Jonas Salk and Albert Sabin, as well as researchers whose work helped shape modern medicine.

Kennedy also highlighted Jewish contributions to technology and business, mentioning the founders of Google, Meta and other leading technology companies, alongside Jewish contributions to the film industry, culture and philanthropy.

He then drew a sharp contrast between the Jewish people and the actions of radical Islamists.

"Now, here are some things that Jews don’t do: suicide bombings, rape gangs, beheading people, killing gay people, aspiring to kill all non-Muslims, forcing young girls to wed older men, lynching women for wearing makeup or showing hair, female mutilation, religious dictatorship, Christian genocide, polygamy, rioting and burning down cities, applying the death penalty for leaving Islam, cooking babies in ovens, hijacking airliners (and driving them into buildings), bombing buses and crowded restaurants, disfiguring girls with acid for failing to wear the hijab, operating modern slave markets where hereditary Black slaves are bought and sold by Arabs, advocating global jihad, and committing 90% of the terrorist acts globally," Kennedy wrote.

He went on to pose a pointed question: "Why does the world hate Jews and embrace Islamists?"

He argued that the answer lay in a sophisticated propaganda operation that ignored facts and turned reality on its head in an effort to portray Israel as the world's enemy.

Kennedy claimed that hatred of Jews and Christians was a central element of Islamist ideology, and that in the West it was often disguised as opposition to Zionism and concern for the Palestinian cause.

"Only in the West does Jew hatred pretend to require the alibi of Palestine or hide behind anti-Zionism," he wrote.

He also addressed the disappearance of Jewish communities from Arab countries. According to Kennedy, approximately 750,000 Jews lived in Arab countries in 1948, while almost none remain there today.

Kennedy even used the Nazi German term "Judenrein," meaning "cleansed of Jews," to describe the situation in those countries. He accused the international community of ignoring the persecution of Jews and other minorities across the Middle East.

A substantial portion of the post was devoted to praising Israel, which Kennedy presented as an extraordinary economic and technological success despite its difficult starting conditions and ongoing security threats.

He argued that Israel had transformed desert and swamp land into a prosperous country and built a democratic society in which Jews and Arabs can vote, practice their faith and participate in the country's institutions.

He highlighted Israel's achievements in agriculture, economics and technology, describing it as "a robust and heroic outpost for freedom and Western values."

By contrast, Kennedy launched a fierce attack on Hamas, accusing the terrorist organization of turning the Gaza Strip into a "death cult" rather than using international assistance to develop the territory and improve the lives of its residents.

"If you want to understand the Muslim Brotherhood's vision for society, look no further than Gaza. Hamas, which rules Gaza, is the Palestine branch of the Muslim Brotherhood," he wrote.

"Instead of building a nation, Hamas has transformed Gaza into a death cult wallowing in victimhood, nursing grievances, addicted to violence, resentments, and yearning for a seventh-century miasma."

Kennedy accused Hamas of pouring enormous resources into building tunnels, acquiring weapons and developing military capabilities while suppressing Gaza's civilian population and violating its rights.

He also accused the organization of indoctrinating Palestinian children with hatred of Jews from an early age, using civilians as human shields and placing weapons in schools and hospitals.

"Hamas nurses Palestinian infants from birth on genocidal hatred of ALL Jews-not just Zionists-and indoctrinates children in the savagery and unspeakable barbarism that the world witnessed on October 7," he wrote.

Kennedy argued that one of Hamas's greatest sources of strength was its propaganda apparatus, along with its willingness to inflict enormous suffering on the Palestinian population in pursuit of its objectives.

He also accused Iran and Gulf states of financing an international propaganda campaign against Israel. He claimed that the flow of money into the operation since the 1990s had turned it into a propaganda machine of unprecedented power, comparing it to the Nazi propaganda apparatus of Joseph Goebbels.

"Joseph Goebbels and an army of Nazi and ex-Nazi propagandists built the Muslim Brotherhood's powerful propaganda machine in the 1930s, '40s, and '50s," Kennedy wrote.

"The massive influx of money from Iran and the Gulf States starting in the 1990s turned this operation into an amplifier of unmatched power that makes Goebbels look like a piker."

He argued that the propaganda campaign had persuaded many in the West that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza, while diverting attention from the persecution of minorities and acts of violence by Islamist regimes and organizations.

In the final section of his post, Kennedy warned against the spread of the Muslim Brotherhood in Western countries. He claimed that the organization was seeking to infiltrate political and social institutions through cooperation with left-wing movements, with the aim of advancing an ideology hostile to democracy and individual freedoms.

Kennedy also cited a 1991 document discovered by the FBI in 2004, which he said outlined the Muslim Brotherhood's strategy in the US as "a kind of gradual Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within."

He concluded by warning about the influence of Islamism on Western society, presenting Israel and the contributions of the Jewish people as an opposing example of progress, freedom and human achievement.

How Turkey’s submarine-hunting drones could challenge the Israeli Navy

A Turkish naval exercise in September revealed a new military capability that could threaten Israel’s submarine fleet

What really happened during Turkey’s naval exercises, and why is Ankara’s growing naval power causing increasing concern in Israel? To understand the picture, we must first look at one of the Israeli military’s most expensive, secret and sensitive assets, now making headlines: the new submarine INS Drakon, alongside the rest of the Dolphin-class fleet.

The fleet’s entire security concept rests on one absolute principle: silence. Once a submarine descends into the depths, no one is supposed to know where it is. But what happens when Israel’s large northern neighbor finds an inexpensive, robotic way to challenge that silence directly from the sky?

The answer emerged on September 22 during the Turkish Navy’s Sea Wolf exercise: an independently conducted national maneuver involving around 100 vessels, 50 aircraft and 14,000 personnel across several maritime theaters simultaneously.

At the center of the test was the amphibious assault ship Anadolu, adapted to operate drones after the United States blocked a deal for F-35B fighter jets. Taking off from its short deck was the Bayraktar TB3, a naval drone with folding wings and a domestically produced turbo-diesel engine, capable of launching from a ski-jump ramp and remaining airborne for more than 24 hours.

The drone did something that caught the attention of intelligence specialists: it dropped two acoustic buoys, known as sonobuoys, into the eastern Mediterranean. These lower underwater microphones deep into the sea to pick up acoustic signals. The key innovation was a data-processing computer installed directly on the drone: the TB3 analyzed the signals in real time while airborne, integrating them with data from buoys dropped by a crewed maritime patrol aircraft operating alongside it.

Put simply, Turkey demonstrated how an inexpensive drone could become a flying acoustic laboratory, listening for submarines from above.

The point here is economic asymmetry: just as cheap drones have challenged heavy tanks on land, Turkey is trying to build an inexpensive robotic sensing network to counter hugely expensive strategic submarines.

Still, the limitations matter. The announcement described only the deployment of buoys and the processing of data. The TB3’s payload is limited to 280 kilograms, no torpedo attack on a submarine from the drone was reported, and two buoys provide only localized coverage. Nor were any data released that would allow an assessment of the system’s performance against an advanced submarine under operational conditions.

So if the drone does not carry out attacks itself, why is this test considered a milestone that concerns naval commanders across the region?

The answer lies in a combat concept that is changing naval warfare. In Turkish doctrine, the TB3 was never intended to operate alone. Its role is to serve as an inexpensive sensor that stays airborne for a full day, monitoring the waters below. Once the drone’s computer picks up a suspicious signal, the data are transmitted in real time to crewed patrol aircraft and warships in the area, which carry the weapons needed to engage the target.

To understand the lethal firepower waiting at the other end of this network, we need to return to an earlier phase of the exercise, held in June. There, Turkey demonstrated AKYA, its first domestically developed heavyweight torpedo. The Sakarya, a German-designed submarine upgraded with a Turkish combat management system called MÜREN, fired the torpedo at the target ship Sokullu Mehmet Paşa.

An underwater explosion beneath a ship’s hull creates a shock wave and an enormous gas bubble that expands and contracts, producing extreme bending forces capable of breaking the ship’s steel keel in two without penetrating the hull. An ATMACA sea-skimming anti-ship cruise missile was also fired during the same event, striking a target 102 kilometers away.

Together, these capabilities — September’s airborne sonar test and the firepower demonstrated in June — illustrate the underlying concern: a shift from traditional, cumbersome naval warfare toward a distributed network of inexpensive robotic sensors connected to domestically produced weapons.

For Israel’s submarine fleet, whose strength rests on remaining undetected, the message from Sea Wolf 2026 is a stark reminder: the depths may still offer concealment, but the surrounding sea is becoming an increasingly networked, technological battlefield, where robotic ears in the sky and heavy weapons in the water can challenge even the most closely guarded assets.

‘Go floppy’ if arrested, Palestine Action tells supporters in London

“All those intending on coming to this event know that supporting a proscribed organization is unlawful,” the Met Police said.

The Metropolitan Police in London said that it plans to arrest anyone who participates in a march supporting Palestine Action, a banned terrorist group, slated for Saturday near the U.S. embassy.

“All those intending on coming to this event know that supporting a proscribed organization is unlawful,” Adam Slonecki, a Met Police commander, told JNS. “They are essentially meeting to purposefully commit a crime.”

“I want to be clear. It is not just those who hold up placards who should expect to be arrested,” Slonecki said. “Anyone officers consider to be playing a key role in organizing the event, giving instructions to others and/or providing logistical support will very likely be committing an offense and face enforcement action.”

According to the Met Police, supporting Palestine Action—which was founded in the United Kingdom in July 2020 and designated a terrorist organization in July 2025—is an offense under the Terrorism Act.

The U.S. embassy in London warned U.S. citizens in the city to “avoid demonstrations and exercise caution if inadvertently near a demonstration.”

Defend the Jury, which plans to organize the protest, described it as a “sign-holding action.” It encouraged participants to sit on public land, not U.S. embassy property, and to hold signs that read, “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”

“Read this document carefully,” organizers advised. “Particularly the legal sections. It does involve flirting with the law a little, which can have serious consequences.”

At 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, demonstrators are scheduled to arrive at the location with blank signs. “Do not write the words on your sign beforehand, just in case you get stopped on your way by police,” organizers advised. “At 1 p.m. sit down and write, ‘I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action’ on your sign.”

They recommended that participants bring a “burner” phone and leave their regular phone behind so that police officers won’t seize it. They are advised to sit “in silent contemplation” for an hour “until arrested.”

Organizers advised demonstrators that it will likely be cold and windy, and if they are arrested, they should “go floppy” to make officers’ jobs more difficult.

The phrase appears to recommend that protesters go limp, so that police officers will have to carry or drag them.

The organizers’ briefing document acknowledges that “taking part in this action requires a preparedness to be arrested, charged and taken to court under section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000.”

“Finally, if convicted, you will be sentenced,” the document states. “S13 technically carries a sentence of up to six months in prison, but every indication from the government, court and lawyers has emphatically said that nobody should have any expectations whatsoever of getting any prison time.”

Organizers stated they are targeting the U.S. embassy in London because U.S. President Donald Trump “pushed the UK government to proscribe Palestine Action in early 2025.”
