Farm attack, man who was woken by attacker in his room, stabbed, Pretoria

A farm attack took place on 23 February 2021, at 01:00, on a smallholding in Pretoria West, in the area of Pretoria road between Camwood and Gillia roads, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. An attacker gained access to the home through a window while the family was asleep and was attempting to steal the TV in the room when the victim, an elderly man, Henry Roets woke.

A struggle ensued and in the process the man was stabbed twice by the attacker. The commotion caused other family members to wake and the attacker to flee the home through the door.

All role players responded and the man received medical attention and was admitted to hospital. He is in a stable condition.

There were no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
