Seattle Socialist Defunded Police: Now Rages At Them For Not Catching Vandal

Socialist Seattle Democrat who pushed Defund the Police now rages at cops for not catching person who threw six bags of human feces onto her lawn

  • Socialist Kshama Sawant, 49, is livid at police for not addressing reports of feces being tossed in her yard after she pushed for police defunding
  • Sawant, who serves on the Seattle City Council, wrote a letter to police after they didn't investigate her threatening emails and the bags of human feces
  • The last report of filth being thrown was on October 13 - the same day a witness caught a 5-foot-4-inch man in the act
  • Sawant has been a heavy supporter of defunding the police since 2020 when she insisted a 50 percent cut from the police department budget

A socialist Seattle City Council member who pushed for police defunding is livid that cops aren't addressing reports of feces being tossed onto her lawn.

Kshama Sawant, 49, wrote a letter to police after they failed to investigate six bags of human feces left in her yard along with threatening emails received dubbing her 'the queen of s***,' according to Fox 13 news.

Sawant led Defund the Police protests in 2020 and advocated for the Seattle police budget to be cut by 50 percent.

The most recent bag of filth was tossed onto her property on October 13 - the same day police closed the investigation. She said the acts are ‘politically motivated.’

'As a socialist City Councilmember who has participated in Black Lives Matter protests, I am being told that my case of six threatening incidents involving human excrement doesn't merit even a serious investigation, let alone protection,' the city council member wrote to police.

Seattle's police department has weakened due to woke policies with about 400 officers leaving since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to King5 News. The department reported 954 equipped officers in 2022 - which is the lowest in 30 years.

The Seattle Police Department obtained photos of the feces thrower on October 13 - shortly after the suspect had thrown their latest batch and was confronted by a friend of Sawant.

Police didn't identify Sawant in the press release but referred to the Seattle City Councilmember's neighborhood and feces complaint.

The friend was able to snap photos of the suspect and identified him as a 5-foot-4 inches tall Asian man, according to police.

'The department takes incidents involving public officials seriously, and investigators have canvassed for evidence, gathered information from witnesses and reviewed everything collected thus far ' police wrote in a statement.

'At this time, the department has not found any evidence this case would meet the city or state standards for hate crime laws, but SPD will follow available leads should new information arise.'

Sawant also blasted 'right-wing media' in her letter to police for praising the attacks.

'Needless to say, it is disturbing the right-wing media, including police-run website named [Law Officer], portrays these attacks on my home as justified against an elected representative who has the temerity to criticize the police or attempt to hold them accountable.

'That is certainly a dangerous direction, especially if it is embraced by police and de facto supported by SPF leadership and the city's Democratic Party establishment.'

Seattle's city council voted in the fall of 2020 and 2021 to defund the police, and since then the force has remained understaffed.

The result led to the police department announcement in April that they would no longer investigate reports of sexual assault, according to an internal report.

Two members of the police force provided documentation to KUOW showing that last month not a single sexual assault case involving an adult victim was assigned to a detective.

'The Seattle police department sexual assault unit is not at all investigating adult sexual assault reports or cases unless there was an arrest,' said one source inside the force.

Between January 2020 and December 2021 at least 339 Seattle police officers retired or resigned, The Wall Street Journal reported - noting that the city has an authorized force of 1,347 but only some 1,000 deployable officers.

The failure to investigate sexual assault cases is a new development, but the problems within Seattle's policing community have been brewing for several years.

In September 2020 Carmen Best, the widely respected then-chief of Seattle police, resigned hours after the city council made good on its promise to approve sweeping proposals that would cut about 100 officers and slash the department's budget.

The 2021 police budget, approved in September 2020, was reduced by nearly $35.6 million, or nine percent, from 2019.

A year later, the budget was cut again.

In November 2021, the city council voted 8-1 for a 2022 city budget that cuts police funding by more than $7 million.

Sawant voted against the budget and insisted 50 percent be cut instead.
