Trudeau Denies He Flew to India on a Plane full of Cocaine

Scandal-hit Justin Trudeau furiously denies claim he traveled to India on a plane 'full of COCAINE'

  • Justin Trudeau denied claim that he traveled to India with a 'plane full of cocaine'
  • Comments made by Deepak Vohra have been strenuously denied by Trudeau
  • Former ambassador Deepak Vohra said there is a 'credible rumor' that the plane Trudeau travelled to India on was full of cocaine
The diplomat then added that it was a 'credible rumor' that sniffer dogs found cocaine on the plane that Trudeau flew into India on.

The Canadian PM's Office dismissed comments from former Indian diplomat Deepak Vohra over accusations he made on Monday on Indian television.

Vohra, a former Indian ambassador to Sudan, told Zee News: 'When Justin Trudeau came to India for the G20 this month, his plane was full of cocaine.'

A retired Indian Diplomat on Indian TV said there are “credible rumors that Trudeau’s plane had cocaine when he landed in India.

According to the Toronto Sun, Vohra also said: 'My wife saw him at the Delhi airport and said that Trudeau looked depressed and stressed.

'We don't know the reason. I don't know the reality, but social media and some 'credible rumours' suggest that his plane was full of cocaine.

Vohra's remarks came after Trudeau alleged that Indian officials were responsible for the assassination of a Sikh terrorist in British Columbia.

The terrorist was born in India and became a Canadian citizen in 2007 - he had been wanted by India for years before he was shot in June outside of the temple he led in a Vancouver suburb.

The remarks came as India stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens and told Canada to reduce its diplomatic staff as the rift widened between the two countries.

No evidence has been shared to support Trudeau's claims that there were 'credible allegations' on Indian involvement in the assassination. The claims have angered Indian officials who called the allegation 'absurd'.

Ties between the two countries have plunged to their lowest point in years after Trudeau told Parliament  there were 'credible allegations' of Indian involvement in the assassination on Canadian soil.

Canada has yet to provide public evidence to back Trudeau's allegations.

India warned its citizens to be careful when traveling to Canada because of 'growing anti-India activities and politically condoned hate-crimes.'

India has criticized Canada for years over giving free rein to Sikh terrorists.

A bloody Sikh insurgency shook north India in the 1970s and 1980s in which thousands of people were killed. India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by Sikh terrorists.

New Delhi´s anxieties about Sikh separatist groups in Canada have long been a strain on the relationship .

In March, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government summoned the Canadian high commissioner in New Delhi, its top diplomat in the country, to complain about Sikh independence protests in Canada.

Signs of a broader diplomatic rift emerged at the summit of the Group of 20 leading world economies hosted by India earlier this month.

Trudeau had frosty encounters with Modi, and a few days later Canada canceled a trade mission to India planned for the fall. A trade deal between the two is now on pause.
