Two Israeli soldiers dead as Hamas already in violation of ceasefire
In one of these incidents, in Rafah, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said 'a cell of terror operatives emerged from a tunnel and fired RPGs at an excavator' that was clearing Hamas infrastructure.
The two troops killed in the attack, were Major Yaniv Kula, 26, and Staff Sergeant Itay Yavetz, 21. Another soldier was wounded.
Hamas also hunted down and publicly executed Palestinian civilians it accused of being 'collaborators'.

Israel launched a series of strikes after accusing Hamas of carrying out attacks on its forces in a 'bold violation' of the peace deal.
The Israeli Defence Forces confirmed in a statement that it had struck 'dozens of Hamas terror targets'.
'The targets struck included weapons storage facilities, infrastructure used for terrorist activity, firing posts, terrorist cells, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.'
The IDF added it had also struck and dismantled six kilometres of underground terrorist infrastructure.
The military said terrorists in the southern area of Rafah had launched an anti-tank missile and fired on its soldiers.
