Hamas Violates Ceasefire

Two Israeli soldiers dead as Hamas already in violation of ceasefire

Gaza's fragile ceasefire was hanging by a thread after Hamas killed two Israeli soldiers.

Israel announced it was halting the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza until further notice, following Hamas's 'blatant violation of the agreement'.

Hamas attacked Israeli soldiers situated behind the agreed yellow line of control 'at least three' times.

In one of these incidents, in Rafah, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said 'a cell of terror operatives emerged from a tunnel and fired RPGs at an excavator' that was clearing Hamas infrastructure.

The two troops killed in the attack, were Major Yaniv Kula, 26, and Staff Sergeant Itay Yavetz, 21. Another soldier was wounded.

Hamas also hunted down and publicly executed Palestinian civilians it accused of being 'collaborators'.

An IDF official said: 'Hamas has repeatedly violated its terms, escalating its brutality against Gazans. Videos have circulated showing Hamas hunting down and publicly executing Gazans in broad daylight.

Israel launched a series of strikes after accusing Hamas of carrying out attacks on its forces in a 'bold violation' of the peace deal.

The Israeli Defence Forces confirmed in a statement that it had struck 'dozens of Hamas terror targets'.

'The targets struck included weapons storage facilities, infrastructure used for terrorist activity, firing posts, terrorist cells, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.'

The IDF added it had also struck and dismantled six kilometres of underground terrorist infrastructure.

The military said terrorists in the southern area of Rafah had launched an anti-tank missile and fired on its soldiers.

Hamas has already recalled 7,000 members of its security forces to duty following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave

Hamas has been engaged in gunfights with local clans in Gaza as it looks to re-establish its authority over the strip.

The terror group, which has ruled the enclave for 18 years, is facing challenges from other armed Palestinian groups.

Israel freed 250 Palestinian prisoners in its jails and 1,718 detainees from Gaza as part of the ceasefire deal.

Hamas violates ceasefire again; three terrorists eliminated

The IDF on Monday morning identified several terrorists who crossed the "yellow line" and approached IDF troops operating in the Shejaiya area, posing an immediate threat to them.

The troops fired toward the terrorists who crossed the yellow line in order to remove the threat to them.

A short while later, the IDF identified a number of additional terrorists who crossed the yellow line and approached IDF troops operating in the Shejaiya area, posing an immediate threat to them.

Hamas is violating the agreement from the very first stage, typical of Muslim negotiation tactics.

MK Merav Cohen (Yesh Atid) claims: The response to Hamas' blatant violation of the ceasefire was muddled and weak.

Merav Cohen

MK Merav Cohen (Yesh Atid) sees the recent difficult events in the Gaza Strip as "a blatant violation of the agreement by Hamas."

MK Cohen states that this is a clear violation, pointing to instances where terrorist cells are firing anti-tank missiles at IDF soldiers, and a sniper attempting to harm Israeli forces, along with other events such as incursions into areas where Hamas is not supposed to be. "In addition to all this, they are not returning the fallen soldiers they committed to returning. They are deliberately dragging their feet," she says.

"We see Hamas swiftly consolidating its rule, executing its own people, taking control of humanitarian aid, and shaping the narrative for the world. Before our eyes, we see the erasure of the achievements of our brave soldiers."
