MK Simcha Rothman blasts Israel's judicial system.
The chairman of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee MK Simcha Rothman attacked protesters against Israeli judicial reform and senior figures in Israel's judicial system.
"A bunch of lunatics have been shouting in the streets here for a year that the judicial reform would destroy democracy in Israel." Rothman wrote.
Rothman then directed his criticism squarely at the Attorney General and the President of the Supreme Court.
Rothman's remarks come against the backdrop of the ongoing tension between the coalition and the judicial establishment, what he describes as a "judicial dictatorship" in Israel.

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara walked out of a cabinet meeting.
It was one of many disputes between various ministers and Baharav-Miara, whom the government has been seeking to remove from her post.
The Knesset approved in a first reading a bill that would establish a special military tribunal to try perpetrators of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre.
The legislation was submitted jointly by Religious Zionism MK Simcha Rothman, of the coalition, and Yisrael Beytenu MK Yulia Malinovsky, of the opposition.
