Who Killed DHS Whistleblower Philip Haney and DNC Official Seth Rich?

Do the American people have a right to know?

James Copenhaver, who on July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania took two bullets from the gunman targeting Donald Trump has died at age 76. The gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, wounded David Dutch, killed Corey Comperatore, and as CNN reported Donald Trump suffered an “injury,” to his ear, language more appropriate for an accident. FBI director Christopher Wray took it to another level.

“Shrapnel” might have accounted for Trump’s wound, claimed the FBI boss, who commands the best ballistics and forensic experts. Nothing about the semiautomatic 5.56 rifle from which Crooks unleashed eight shots. The 20-year-old, with no tactical experience, easily bypassed the US Secret Service and a state police detail to gain an ideal rooftop shooting position. Wray’s FBI did nothing to prevent the attempted assassination, which has now claimed a second victim. That’s hard to top but Secret Service boss Kimberly Cheatle was up to the task.

The Biden appointee refused to tell Congress how many rounds Crooks had been able to fire, which she had to know. Cheatle acknowledged “mistakes” and “gaffes,” and it took 10 days before the obvious incompetent resigned. The Secret Service fired no agents and nearly a year later issued suspensions without pay ranging from 10-42 days for six unnamed agents, all granted the right to appeal.

No word which performance failures earned the time off, and the six reportedly included the special agent in charge of the Pittsburgh field office, tasked with coordinating security for the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. As the people should know, this is hardly the only assassination attempt still shrouded in mystery.

On February 21, 2020, in Amador County, California, Philip Haney, 66, was found dead from a gunshot. Means and opportunity were apparent, and possibilities for the motive loomed large. In 2016, Haney authored See Something Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad. He was planning a sequel, to be released by mid-spring, 2020, but on February 21, 2020 the brave whistleblower turned up dead by gunshot.

Islamic terrorists and their protectors in government would be the primary persons of interest, but the Amador County Sheriff’s office (ACSO) announced no suspects and quickly handed the case to the FBI. The bureau announced no suspects, posted no reward, and took control of Haney’s electronic devices and written materials.

In February of 2021, the ACSO told Frontpage there was no new information and would say nothing about the case. In April of 2021, Sheriff Martin Ryan retired, replaced by former undersheriff Gary Redman, “a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy,” in Quantico, Virginia.

According to forensic pathologist Katherine Raven MD, the cause of Haney’s death was a “perforating gunshot wound of torso,” approximately one inch in diameter and “consistent with contact range.” Dr. Raven found an exit wound on the left side of the back and abrasions on both knees. The forensic pathologist signed out “homicide autopsy,” but in 2022 Redman proclaimed Haney’s death a suicide and declared the case officially closed. But it wasn’t.

The Department of Homeland Security charged the dead man with harboring “contraband,” as though the terrorism expert was some sort of smuggler, and also guilty of fraud, illegal disclosure under five U.S. laws.  The three binders “said to contain whistleblower documents” were doubtless part of the archive Haney was gathering for the “National Security Meltdown” book he mentioned in 2019.

Six years after Haney’s death by gunshot, the FBI has announced no revelations in the case, which is not a one-off. Consider the case of  Seth Rich director of voter expansion data for the Democratic National Committee. On July 10, 2016, the  27-year-old was gunned down in Washington DC. Police called it a street robbery gone wrong, but the shooters did not take Rich’s wallet, watch or phone. Weeks after the murder, as the BBC reported, “Wikileaks published 20,000 emails obtained from Democratic National Committee computers via an anonymous source.”

According to prominent Democrats, that was all part of Trump’s collusion with Russia. With that ploy exposed as a hoax, the people have cause to wonder.  With Rich’s personal laptop, the FBI wanted 66 years, a proxy for “never,” to produce data the bureau previously denied it even possessed. This year questions are emerging about the FBI’s handing of records related to Rich, possibly marked for destruction.

For coincidence theorists, there’s nothing to see here, but if anybody thought the deaths of Philip Haney and Seth Rich were straight-up assassinations it would be hard to blame them. It’s long past time to find out.

Back in 1976, Congress established the House Select Committee on Assassinations to investigate the murders of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Fifty years later, it’s time to establish a new committee to investigate the shooting deaths of Philip Haney and Seth Rich, and the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. The people have a right to know, and this could be the breakthrough against deep state power moving forward.
