Man shows off unique hard-boiled egg-peeling method, but Twitter can't stop talking about his faucet

A video showing a man peeling a hard-boiled egg with ease — and using only a glass and some water to do it — has gone viral. But it's not the person's unique method, or even the tired egg pun, that is getting attention on the platform. It’s the faucet.

More specifically, it’s that person in the video doesn’t turn off his faucet.

In the video, a person is seen dropping a hard-boiled egg into a glass over a kitchen sink, and then partially filling the glass with water before covering the top of the glass with his hand and shaking vigorously. After a few seconds, the man then removes the egg from the glass and effortlessly slides the egg out of its shell with one hand.

Though it’s wasn't clear who took the original video, the Twitter account Back to Nature posted the nine-second-long clip on Sunday. Since then, it has received more than 60,000 views and dozens of replies, many of which seem to shame the person in the video was not turning the water off while attempting to peel the egg.

On the other hand, there were those that actually tried this peeling method, and reported back to Twitter about their differing levels of success.

Gwyneth Paltrow has done it again, folks.

The 47-year-old actress and serial lifestyle entrepreneur found another way to shock the world with the sale of a vagina-scented candle in her online Goop store.

The candle, provocatively named “This Smells Like My Vagina,” will run customers a cool $75 and boasts a fragrance packed with geranium, citrusy bergamot and cedar, according to the Daily Mail.

Apparently the idea for the candle, made by Heretic, originally started out as a joke.

As the product description reads: “This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP -- the two were working on a fragrance, and she blurted out, ‘Uhhh ... this smells like a vagina’ -- but evolved into a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent.”

Apparently, Paltrow’s lifestyle company is onto something. The candle is currently sold out on both Goop’s and Heretic’s websites.

Paltrow, of course, is no stranger to controversy when it comes to selling eyebrow-raising products.

Last year during the holiday season, Goop made headlines over a holiday gift guide that included $43,000 earrings and a BDSM kit. The list was so outrageous, Goop itself dubbed it the “ridiculous but awesome gift guide.”

Other items included a handmade, animal cruelty-free moisture bar shaped like an egg for $65. The BDSM kit, however, was probably the most outrageous of the bunch.

“Think of this kit as a beginner’s guide to BDSM,” said Goop’s website. “It’s even equipped with DIY restraining straps, to help you, him, or her assume the position (wink, wink).”

I got this done a bit earlier today as we are in the midst of a winter snow storm that at first had dire predictions of our area having wide spread outages due to ice. Now the ice threat seems to have moved a bit more to the southeast of us, which is good news for us. I'd rather shovel the snow then to be without power. I went to the store yesterday around three pm and you couldn't even find a place to park in the area outlines for parking, I had to park on the end of a parking lane. People in the store were stocking up like it was going to be the storm of the century. Nothing is ever a given guarantee you will be safely tucked away at home during inclement as I remember last year during the winter storm involved with a polar vortex that brought the city to a stand still getting stuck at the end of a driveway after having to wonder out to help a friend who was critically ill. I still am amazed I have all my limbs after that experience! Everyone stay safe out there as this storm crosses the country!

Drawing Found in Viennese Cathedral Could Change How Historians Think About Albrecht Dürer’s Art

A drawing discovered in a Vienna cathedral may transform art historians’ understanding of a Northern Renaissance artist’s career.

According to the Art Newspaper, specialists were alerted to a painting found buried beneath centuries of dirt on the wall above the gift shop at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in the Austrian capital. After an examination of the painting’s underdrawing, which was determined to have been executed around 1505, they realized the draughtsman may have been none other than Dürer.

If the attribution is correct, the drawing could alter how historians understand the life of Dürer, who was based in Germany for the majority of his career. No visits to Vienna by Dürer were ever recorded, and his only known wall painting, a massive work designed for the Nuremberg town hall in 1521, was destroyed by bombing during World War II.

In November, specialists and staff met in the cathedral to discuss the discovery. A statement was subsequently released saying that the two female saints are “undoubtedly by an artist from the circle of Dürer.” Experts have dated the predella and the figure of St. Leopold to the 1510s. If Dürer did draw St Catherine and St Margaret, a skilled assistant completed the work years later.

Erwin Pokorny, a Viennese specialist on the artist who has undertaken months of research on the Viennese underdrawing, told the Art Newspaper that “none of Dürer’s assistants or followers were able to reach the quality of the underdrawing’s virtuoso brushstrokes.” The results will be published later this year in the Austrian journal Österreichische Zeitschrift für Kunst und Denkmalpflege, though Pokorny said he was certain that “the question is not whether but when Dürer was in Vienna.”
