South Africa: Farm attack, man assaulted, tied up, farmhouse ransacked, Atlantis

A farm attack took place on 19 November 2021, at 02:00, on the farm Grammadoelas, on the Klein Dassenberg Road, Saxonworld Farms, Atlantis, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Richard Walton was overpowered in his home by five balaclava clad attackers. He was assaulted and tied up.
Walton was sleeping when he was woken by his dogs that entered the room with the five attackers wearing balaclavas.
The attackers demanded firearms and money. He was then assaulted and tied up with his shoe laces and locked in a room.
At 08:00 on that morning his wife came to the house and found Walton tied up. While not seriously injured he suffered bruising all over his arms and legs from the assault.
Five flat screen tv’s, a printer, laptops, and cell phones were among items robbed.
The police are investigating the attack but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
