South Africa: Farm attack, farmer tied up, beaten and robbed, Fort Beaufort

A farm attack took place on Monday 6 December 2021 in the Fort Beaufort district in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. A 57 year old farmer was alone when he was confronted in his home by two black male attackers.
The attackers tied the farmer to a chair and demanded cash and the safe keys.
When the farmer explained that he did not have the keys he was beaten with a blunt object.
The attackers fled with a TV and a cellphone. The farmer was treated in hospital for the injuries sustained in the attack.
The Police is investigating the incident but no arrests have been made .
Four months ago an 81 year old farmer was attacked in the Bedford district, situated 60 km from Fort Beaufort. In that incident a shootout occurred between the two attackers and the farmer who managed to shoot and kill one of the attackers.
