A climate activist sign reads: 'This hole drinks 277,000 litres of water a day. Do you drink that much?'

The group called golf the 'leisure industry of the most privileged', adding that 'economic madness takes precedence over ecological reason'.

Climate activists don’t have fun, so neither should anyone else, apparently.

It’s clear these climate activists aren’t concerned about ruining a business and the livelihood of many employees that work at these golf courses.

Last week activists associated with Extinction Rebellion began stealing onto golf courses and filling golf course holes with cement to shut the courses down.

Reader Comments:

So what it takes 5 minutes to make a new hole.

French golfers should fill the extremists' holes with cement.

Don't they realize it's easy for the club to make a new pin placement on the green?

The holes are moved regularly. Climate anarchist aren't too bright over there either I guess.

Looks like the world is full of leftwing morons.

The climate change extremists won't be happy until we are all just as miserable as them.

Oh no, the greens keeper will have to spend literally minutes of their life fixing it!

Thicko's.they change the position of the hole every couple of days anyway

If they planted a tree in each hole then surely that would have been better for the environment?

I am surprised that the great unwashed and perpetual students that have done this knew how to mix cement! It is probably the most work they have done in their lives.
