Yellen's meal soon trended on the site and prompted discussion of the mushroom's properties.
'I have a friend who mistakenly ate them and hallucinated for three days,' Peter Mortimer, a professor at the Kunming Institute of Botany in Yunnan told CNN.
Mortimer explained that the mushroom was considered poisonous because it could be hallucinogenic.
