The police have arrested six in connection to a shocking 'flash robbery' at a Nike store in Los Angeles after the suspects were caught red-handed with burglary tools and $30K worth of stolen merchandise.

The thieves, whose identities were not revealed, were captured last week after their SUV was pulled over by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, KTLA News reported.

During the search, cops found multiple bags filled with stolen Nike sneakers.

The brazen heist took place around 5:30pm on August 13 at the Nike Store located in East Los Angeles on 4585 Whittier Boulevard. Surveillance footage captured three people entering the store then walking out shortly after with trash bags that were filled with the stolen footwear.

On the same day, cops riding e-bicycles arrested two other suspects at The Americana at Brand Mall in Glendale in a separate incident, The New York Post reported.

Officers from the Glendale Police Department noticed a vehicle without license plates that was obstructing traffic. When they initiated a traffic stop they saw burglary tools inside the car, a release said.

One of the passengers was found to be on a felony probation for theft. During the search of the car, officers found several high-end bags that had an estimated retail value of $30,000.

Some of the bags still had the security tags on them, official said.

The suspects in that arrest were identified as Memory Yearby, 26 and Janeice Downs, 23, of Seattle, Washington. The third assailant was identified as Reality Leavens, 18, of Renton, Washington, police said.

Officials said they were arrested for receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools.

The Americana Security recognized the women from previous thefts and assisted the officers from the Glendale Police Department.

On August 8, another flash mob burglary took place, this time at the Yves Saint Laurent at The Americana Brad in Glendale.

A mob of at least 30 thugs entered the store and stole up to $400,000 of merchandise before they fled in 20 different vehicles during the daylight robbery.

The incident was caught on camera by numerous by-standers that sent shockwaves through the Glendale community.

Twenty-three-year-old Ivan Issac Ramirez of Los Angeles, was one of the suspects picked up by police on Thursday.

He was charged with burglary, grand theft, organized retail theft, and conspiracy. He was also hospitalized for health issues. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 15 at Glendale Superior Court, the Los Angeles Times reported.

His alleged partner 21-year-old Brianna Jimenez, also from LA,  has not yet been captured and there is a warrant out for her arrest.

Glendale Police Chief Manuel Cid told the news outlet:  'I assure all members of the Glendale community and the broader Los Angeles region that these brazen smash-and-grab robberies and burglaries will not be tolerated.'

He added: 'This marks the first arrest related to this crime and there are more arrests to come.'

Many retail establishments across Los Angeles County have been targeted by these flash mob robberies.

Officials said that these suspects will flood the stores, overwhelm the employees and the security guards then grab as many items as they can before fleeing.

Many of these stores are high-end retailers and their thefts exceed more than $100,000, KTLA reported.

On Thursday, a news conference was held to announce a new task force made up of different law enforcement agencies from Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Burbank and Santa Monica.

And as well, the FBI, the US Marshals Service, city and county prosecutors and the state Attorney's General office, as per the news outlet.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said, 'These are not victimless crimes. No Angeleno should feel like it is not safe to go shopping in Los Angeles.'

She added: 'No entrepreneur should feel like it's not safe to open a business in Los Angeles.'
