A Texas teenager is being investigated by the police after a video of him punching random members of the public in the head has sparked fury online.
Alford Lewis, 19, was seen punching several unsuspecting people in the back of the head in Wortham Park, in the Cypress area earlier this week.
The shocking video was posted to the neighborhood social media app Nextdoor by a concerned local who had spotted it on another platform.

The footage reveals a young man in a a red hoodie with Spartans on the front randomly targeting people from behind and sucker-punching them.
The teen also tried to tackle one man at the Cypress-area park, WFAA reported.
Lewis has since apologized and said he regrets his actions, characterizing the video as a prank that got out of control.
'I just made a mistake and everybody makes mistakes' Lewis told WFAA.
'I really didn't expect for it to go so left, you know,' he said, explaining it was done to get like on TikTok.

Adding: 'I know from the video all you see is the bad part about it. But what people don't see is that I shook his hand after and gave the man a hug.'
Lewis said his parents had been disappointed when they found out about the video.
'Before you go out and do anything you feel is bad, or that could look bad, make sure, like, people know – or just don't do it at all,' Lewis advised others.
The HCSO Violent Crimes Division said they are investigating the video.
It comes amidst rising concerns that chasing likes on TikTok is leading youngsters to take increasingly more severe risks.
