Batman's famed sidekick revealed that he would like to go on a date with a male friend, ending the latest edition with a suspenseful "to be continued."

Batman's sidekick, Robin, has revealed that he is interested in dating a male friend in the latest edition of a monthly anthology series called "Batman: Urban Legends."

The series explores the Tim Drake version of the Caped Crusader's longtime sidekick as he navigates his own life experiences as the center of many storylines.

There is a cliffhanger at the end of part three of the series titled "Sum of Our Parts," written by Meghan Fitzmartin and letterer Pat Brosseau and drawn by artist BelΓ©n Ortega along with colorist Alejandro SΓ‘nchez.

In the parts leading up to the big moment, Tim is reunited with a friend named Bernard amid some dramatic moments at a bar where their reunion is interrupted.

Later, amid a rescue mission, Bernard tells Robin that he still wanted to finish his date with Tim, not knowing that he's actually speaking to Tim Drake. That's when Tim decides to go and see Bernard again to clarify everything.

Tim nervously walked up to Bernard's door where he is greeted by Bernard who says, "Tim? H-Hi! I'm glad you're here, I've been meaning --I mean -- I wanted to say--."

Tim replies, "Bernard, wait. Let me talk." Tim continues with, "I'm really glad you got home okay. I was relieved and I've been doing a lot of thinking, about that night, and I -- I don't know what it meant to me. Not yet. But, I'd like to figure it out."

Bernard replies, "I was hoping you would. Tim Drake ... do you want to go on a date with me?"

The moment ends with Tim saying, "Yeah..yeah, I think I want that," before readers are left wondering what happens next with a "to be continued in 'Batman - Urban Legends #10!'"

Fitzmartin said of her idea behind writing the story, "My goal in writing has been and will always be to show just how much God loves you. You are so incredibly loved and important and seen. Forever grateful to be trusted with Tim Drake and his story."

She expressed how honored she was to be able to work with her team including Ortega and SΓ‘nchez.

Ortega expressed gratitude on Twitter for all of the support and comments, noting that this was her first series working with DC Comics.

Fans can buy editions of Batman: Urban Legends and keep up with new releases to follow the story on DC Comic's website.

Curried Chicken Cacciatore

This is recipe recommendation is from our friend, Laura J. Here's her tip for perfect chicken: “Chicken done right is very tender, falls off the bone. If it's too long it gets tough. Lots of crocks have different settings, so I always heat the chicken on high for 1 hour, then cook on low for 4 hours.”

Farm murders: Has racial prejudice now even found a place in denouncing these crimes?

Farm murders: Has racial prejudice now even found a place in denouncing these crime?
Farm murders: Has racial prejudice now even found a place in denouncing these crime?

This year, according to TLU SA’s Register of Incidents on farm attacks and murders, already saw 153 attacks on farms leading to the death of 25 people. But the minister of agriculture, land reform and rural development, Ms Thoko Didiza, had very little to say about any of these incidents.

This week, however, she condemned the murder of a black family on a Free State farm outside Harrismith. Last week, the head of police in Mpumalanga, Lt Gen Semakaleng Manamela, said they wouldn’t rest before they have the suspects in the murder of a black security guard on a farm near Brondal outside Mbombela behind bars.

“It is tough not to conclude that the minister and her colleagues find the murders of some people more important than others,” says Mr Henry Geldenhuys, the president of TLU SA. “Has racial prejudice now even found a place in denouncing crime?

“Each farm attack or murder is upsetting, unnecessary and unacceptable. Minister must publicly condemn every attack and leave no stone unturned in catching the attackers. Furthermore, the minister and her colleagues must treat all South Africans equally. As the Constitution states.”

The real issue is that the government is not doing enough to protect the safety of South Africans of all races. TLU SA wants to emphasise this.

According to the police’s admission, 11 703 members left the South African Police Service during the past four years. The government cut the police budget during the medium-term expenditure framework and has misspent the rest through malice and greed. It means every one police member is responsible for 200 people.

“It is clear that the safety of South Africans is not a priority for the government,” says Mr Geldenhuys. “The recent cabinet shuffle offered the ideal opportunity to get rid of underachievers and inadequate members of the national executive, but it seems that it was more of an exercise in political positioning.”

Rock rolls

Rock rolls

The University of Wisconsin-Madison removed a boulder from its Madison campus after the Black Student Union and other activists objected to its description nearly 100 years ago with a racial slur.

Chamberlin Rock, which rests on top of Observatory Hill, is named after a 19th Century geologist and former university president, Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, whose work centred on glacial deposits.

A reporter’s reference to the 70-tonne rock in a nearly century-old Wisconsin State Journal article that prompted the removal.

In October 1925 the university had the boulder excavated and placed prominently atop the hill to honour Chamberlin, who died in 1928. The rock was a rare specimen believed to be more than 2 billion years old, and before being installed on Observatory Hill, only about a foot and a half was visible above ground, according to the article. It was believed to have been carried by glaciers from Canada to Wisconsin.

In the 1920s a slang term, ‘nigger head’ was used to describe objects that were deemed to resemble the shape of a black man’s head. This reference appears in coverage on the rock’s installation.

Researchers did not find other instances in print where the rock was referred to using this term, but they said the Ku Klux Klan was active on campus at the time of the rock’s dedication.

Juliana Bennett, a campus representative on the Madison City Council, said ‘removing the rock signalled a small step toward a more inclusive school.

‘This moment is about the students, past and present, that relentlessly advocated for the removal of this racist monument,’ she told the Associated Press. ‘Now is a moment for all of us BIPOC students to breathe a sigh of relief, to be proud of our endurance, and to begin healing.’

Vogue Pushes Climate Change in Piece on ‘The Wonders of Greta Thunberg’

Vogue Pushes Climate Change in Piece on ‘The Wonders of Greta Thunberg’

Greta Thunberg Vogue Scandinavia

2:40

Vogue magazine, which no longer hides its left-wing agenda, lays out the case for “climate change” via a glowing profile of Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg.

With fairy tale photos of Greta Thunberg and a small horse, the article gives her a platform to espouse her belief that man-made climate change is causing a countdown to the planet’s implosion.

“If you are buying fast fashion then you are contributing to that industry and encouraging them to expand and encouraging them to continue their harmful process,” Thunberg said in the first issue of the Scandinavian edition of Vogue.

The article’s headline gushes: “The Wonders of Greta Thunberg.”

CNN reported on the magazine’s cover star, including that Thunberg “catalyzed a movement of youth climate strikes, and now, at 18, Thunberg is one of the world’s most visible environmental activists.”

CNN reported:

Thunberg spotlighted the role of fast fashion — the mass production of inexpensive, on-trend clothing that maintains low pricing through labor exploitation and poor quality — in the worsening climate crisis.

“If you are buying fast fashion then you are contributing to that industry and encouraging them to expand and encouraging them to continue their harmful process,” she told the magazine. “Of course I understand that for some people fashion is a big part of how they want to express themselves and their identity.”

While sharing the Vogue cover on her social media accounts, Thunberg also called out the industry for greenwashing — or promoting an eco-conscious image without making meaningful change — with tokenistic and ambiguous gestures regarding sustainability.

“Many make it look as if the fashion industry is starting to take responsibility, spending fantasy amounts on campaigns portraying themselves as ‘sustainable,’ ‘ethical,’ ‘green,’ ‘climate neutral’ or ‘fair,'” Thunberg wrote on Twitter. “But let’s be clear: This is almost never anything but pure greenwash.”

CNN reports the magazine’s first issue focuses on “nature,” and its release comes at the same time as the United Nation’s latest climate report warning of a grim future until countries cut greenhouse gas emissions and donate money to the cause.

Thunberg said she does not want to be an activist but must remain an activist.

“The ideal thing would be to just return to school and finish education and not have to worry about the climate,” Thunberg said. “But as long as there is a need for activists I will probably be an activist.”

Biden has rolled out the red carpet for migrants as his special guests

Wayne Dupree: Biden has rolled out the red carpet for migrants; they’re not so much illegals anymore as his special guests

Wayne Dupree: Biden has rolled out the red carpet for migrants; they’re not so much illegals anymore as his special guests
More than 200,000 migrants crossed our southern border last month, a 21-year high. And it’s all because of the Democrats’ deliberate policies of wanting to import new people to vote for them.

The Biden administration has no interest in solving the border issue. Their actions indicate they are allowing open borders, just as they hinted they would in election debates. Texas needs to take matters into its own hands if it wants solutions.

I’ve had friends on the left tell me they believe Biden is doing this on purpose. It’s easy for us to conclude that the Dems need a new voter base. They also need lockdowns to create the unnecessary ‘need’ for more mail-in voting. Thus, they are allowing thousands of illegals in to fulfill both of these aims at once.

One of Biden's first actions after walking into the Oval Office was to shut down border wall construction. The globalists are importing low-wage laborers who will, in turn, ensure they have a monopoly on future elections. America’s middle class is being intentionally dissolved.

Why should anyone obey Covid-19 rules when the president of the United States is importing people with the virus and transporting them around the country? At this point, let us stop calling it ‘illegal immigration’, because President Biden is rolling out the red carpet for them.

Thanks to his actions, Mexicans, Guatemalans, Nicaraguans etc, and others from the Middle East and Afghanistan, have flocked to the border in droves. Across the entire southwest border, 210,000 migrant apprehensions were reported for July – a 21-year high.

They are quasi-legal immigrants at this point: they don't have the proper immigration status to remain in this country, but they didn't have to sneak in and hide, which is usually what distinguishes illegal immigration from legal immigration. They came here knowing that the door would be opened for them. All they have to do is ‘surrender’ to border patrol. Yes, I get that some are being expelled back into Mexico, but thousands are being fast-tracked into America.

Biden should be impeached for encouraging this during a pandemic. We can't expect the border patrol to stop everyone from crossing in a remote part of the desert, so there will always be some people making it across. Still, the border is supposed to be closed to anyone caught, not flung open with giant camps set up to welcome everyone.

I realize those camps are not luxury resorts, but they wouldn't be so overcrowded if the US had a reputation for sending back all illegal border crossers. People wouldn't be flying to Mexico from overseas if it was a dead end. We'd still get some people fleeing drug cartels or political violence (who may actually need asylum), but not the tens of thousands a month who just want a better job or house.

All the time, we hear from the Biden administration that we must heed the science to halt the spread of Covid. Yet here they are, ignoring pleas on the front lines regarding closing the border to help halt the spread. How does anyone expect us to believe and follow what we are told when our own leadership will not even heed its own advice?

In the event of failing to secure our borders as the constitution and oaths demand of a US president, it is possible to remove the administration via impeachment, if enough governors take a stand against the southern border crisis and use that influence on their elected representatives and senators to vote out the current president and vice president. There is enough evidence to convict Biden, in my opinion.

This entire story about the illegals spreading the coronavirus has been completely ignored by the mainstream media, except where they feel compelled to try to cover up what’s really happening to help Biden, Harris, Fauci & Co.

But even if you believe CNN’s twisted figures (and I don’t), they admit only about 64% of illegal immigrants are sent back to Mexico! So 36% of the more than one million illegals who have turned up at the border this year asking to see Uncle Joe have been allowed to enter our country.

Do not kid yourself – this shows the safety of Americans is not the Democrats’ real priority; it’s all about getting in as many new voters as possible after granting them amnesty before 2022. It’s all about perpetual power for these socialists.

By the end of Biden's term, it’s estimated there will be at least 12 million illegals here, and that’s a very conservative number. The Democrats are going to make them citizens and, therefore, voters. They don’t care how many Covid deaths, criminal activity, fentanyl deaths, and the out-and-out theft of taxpayer dollars it takes.

Remember this, if you don’t remember anything else: Keeping themselves in power is the goal of the Democrats, no matter who they step on to do it.

Biden’s proposed amnesty for illegal aliens would be a disaster for America. Thank goodness one brave Democrat politician agrees

Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ)

Arizona Democrat Kyrsten Sinema isn’t a racist for opposing amnesty. She’s just doing her job like she’s supposed to, given that the move could tank her state and cause a disaster for Arizona workers.

One of the major agenda points for Democrats since the 2020 election has been a renewed push for amnesty in regards to illegal immigrants. Their most recent effort was attempting to hide it in a $3.5 trillion budget bill that would only require 50 votes to pass, given that Vice-President Kamala Harris would then have the deciding vote.

Given that the current Senate is split exactly 50-50, all one side needed was to get someone to vote against the party line to either defeat the bill or pass it. It seems that the former has happened, as Arizona senator Kyrsten Sinema has voiced her opposition to it.

New York representative and far-left darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came down hard on her fellow Democrat afterwards. Her statements were downright salacious, as she vaguely accused Senator Sinema of racism.

“Good luck tanking your own party's investment on childcare, climate action, and infrastructure while presuming you'll survive a 3 vote House margin - especially after choosing to exclude members of color from negotiations and calling that a ‘bipartisan accomplishment.’”

The fact of the matter is that the Arizona senator is not a racist and likely is not going to be swayed by any sort of climate alarmism or acting like she doesn't care about children. Sinema is a realist. Though she's not up for reelection until 2024, the fact of the matter is that she is in what we could call a ‘purple state’ – one which, though currently returning two blue, Democrat senators, often goes Republican red. She was elected under the idea that she would be a moderate voice, and she knows that if she isn't, then Arizona could well end up flipping back into the red zone.

Congresswoman Cortez might want to study a map as well, because then she’d realize that Arizona is right on the border with Mexico, and the proposed amnesty would end up enabling cartels and human traffickers, instead of hindering them. Not to mention, it would flood Arizona with a massive amount of low-wage laborers who would take jobs that would usually go to people from Arizona who are already citizens.

As of now, nearly 16 Americans remain jobless, most of whom want full-time, well-paid employment. Another 4.6 million Americans work part-time but want a full-time job. The Congressional budget office has repeatedly found that an amnesty for illegal aliens would be a net fiscal drain for American taxpayers, while driving down US wages. When you take all that into account, you're looking at a policy that would spell absolute disaster for the people of Arizona, especially the poorest. Those are the same people that Sinema wants voting for her in 2024.

There used to be a point in time where people expected their representatives to vote with the best interests of their constituents in mind. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can cry all day and play the race card until she's blue in the face, but what Sinema is doing is protecting her own people. That's what every politician is supposed to do, and if they do that, they will likely get reelected. Despite my opinions of modern-day Democrats, one reliable thing with many of them is that they will vote in a way that preserves their career.

For Kyrsten Sinema, she knows for a fact that amnesty would be a death sentence. Not just for her, but for her voters, too.

Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Misogyny,’ ‘Racism’ Behind Capitol Riot, I Feared Being Raped –‘White Supremacy and Patriarchy Are Very Linked’

1:32

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told CNN’s Dana Bash on “Newsroom” that she feared being raped during the January 6 Capitol riot because “white supremacy and patriarchy are very linked,” and she believes that animated rioters.

Ocasio-Cortez has previously stated that she feared for her life during the January 6 riot. She was in the Rayburn House Office Building on the Capitol campus, separated from the Capitol building by a road. Capitol Police instructed Ocasio-Cortez and her staff to remain in their offices during the incident.

When asked about January 6, Ocasio-Cortez said, “I think one of the reasons why that impact was so doubled that day is because of the misogyny and the racism that is so deeply rooted and animated that attack on Capitol.”

She continued, “You know white supremacy and patriarchy are very linked in a lot of ways. There is a lot of sexualizing of that violence. I didn’t think that I was just going to be killed. I thought other things were going to happen to me as well.”

Bash said, “So it sounds like what you’re telling me is that you didn’t only think that you were going to die, you thought you were going to be raped?”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “Yeah. yeah, I thought I was.”
