'Emotional support' alligator denied entry into baseball stadium

Fans were surprised to see an alligator turn up at a Philadelphia Phillies baseball match with its owner. Joie Henney has said they were there to meet the players in an arranged visit, but will have to go another time.

An "emotional support" alligator has been denied entry into a baseball stadium, according to its owner.

Joie Henney took Wally the alligator to the home of the Philadelphia Phillies ahead of their game against Pittsburgh on Wednesday, much to the surprise of onlookers.

Wally - or WallyGator - is considered a support animal and has tens of thousands of followers on social media, where he's often seen being hugged or kissed.

Speaking to Sky News, Mr Henney said they had not gone to watch the match but were due to meet the players - but by the time they arrived, the team were busy warming up.

"It was no big deal," he said, adding they simply turned and went home.

"We were going to go in down below [the stadium], but they were practising for the game and couldn't have visitors."

"They're going to get a hold of us before they go to their next game," he claimed. "Soon players will get to meet him."

Citizens Bank Park's policy on support animals is posted on the Phillies' official website.

It states: "Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training are welcome. All other animals are prohibited."

Mr Henney, who rescues reptiles, said he first met Wally after his friend captured him in Florida and dropped him off "as a joke" in September 2015.

"But the joke's on him now," he said.

Trudeau Denies He Flew to India on a Plane full of Cocaine

Scandal-hit Justin Trudeau furiously denies claim he traveled to India on a plane 'full of COCAINE'

  • Justin Trudeau denied claim that he traveled to India with a 'plane full of cocaine'
  • Comments made by Deepak Vohra have been strenuously denied by Trudeau
  • Former ambassador Deepak Vohra said there is a 'credible rumor' that the plane Trudeau travelled to India on was full of cocaine
The diplomat then added that it was a 'credible rumor' that sniffer dogs found cocaine on the plane that Trudeau flew into India on.

The Canadian PM's Office dismissed comments from former Indian diplomat Deepak Vohra over accusations he made on Monday on Indian television.

Vohra, a former Indian ambassador to Sudan, told Zee News: 'When Justin Trudeau came to India for the G20 this month, his plane was full of cocaine.'

A retired Indian Diplomat on Indian TV said there are “credible rumors that Trudeau’s plane had cocaine when he landed in India.

According to the Toronto Sun, Vohra also said: 'My wife saw him at the Delhi airport and said that Trudeau looked depressed and stressed.

'We don't know the reason. I don't know the reality, but social media and some 'credible rumours' suggest that his plane was full of cocaine.

Vohra's remarks came after Trudeau alleged that Indian officials were responsible for the assassination of a Sikh terrorist in British Columbia.

The terrorist was born in India and became a Canadian citizen in 2007 - he had been wanted by India for years before he was shot in June outside of the temple he led in a Vancouver suburb.

The remarks came as India stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens and told Canada to reduce its diplomatic staff as the rift widened between the two countries.

No evidence has been shared to support Trudeau's claims that there were 'credible allegations' on Indian involvement in the assassination. The claims have angered Indian officials who called the allegation 'absurd'.

Ties between the two countries have plunged to their lowest point in years after Trudeau told Parliament  there were 'credible allegations' of Indian involvement in the assassination on Canadian soil.

Canada has yet to provide public evidence to back Trudeau's allegations.

India warned its citizens to be careful when traveling to Canada because of 'growing anti-India activities and politically condoned hate-crimes.'

India has criticized Canada for years over giving free rein to Sikh terrorists.

A bloody Sikh insurgency shook north India in the 1970s and 1980s in which thousands of people were killed. India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by Sikh terrorists.

New Delhi´s anxieties about Sikh separatist groups in Canada have long been a strain on the relationship .

In March, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government summoned the Canadian high commissioner in New Delhi, its top diplomat in the country, to complain about Sikh independence protests in Canada.

Signs of a broader diplomatic rift emerged at the summit of the Group of 20 leading world economies hosted by India earlier this month.

Trudeau had frosty encounters with Modi, and a few days later Canada canceled a trade mission to India planned for the fall. A trade deal between the two is now on pause.

The Coconuts Recipe Corner: Dutch baby — sweet and savory popover pancakes

Dutch baby — sweet and savory popover pancakes

By Adam Ragusea, YouTube Channel

Ingredients
eggs (one per person, I do 2-3 in a 10 in / 25 cm pan)
milk (1/3 cup, 80mL per egg)
flour (1/3 cup, 40g per egg, and I like to replace up to half my flour with starch)
salt (a pinch per egg)
sugar (1 teaspoon per egg, sweet or savory)
vanilla (only for sweet)
spreadable cheese, like ricotta/brie/mascarpone (OPTIONAL 1 tablespoon per egg, improves the taste but makes it not puff as much)
butter toppings (lemon juice and powdered sugar is nice for sweet, eggs/salami/onion is nice for savory)

Directions
If possible, warm the eggs and the milk before mixing. Combine the eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla (if using) in a mixing bowl and whisk until frothy. Whisk in the flour until smooth, then whisk in the milk. Or you could just dump all of that in the blender at once. Let the batter sit for at least 20 minutes before baking.

Put your pan (nonstick or cast iron) in the oven and get the oven heating to 425ºF/220ºC. When it's all the way hot, take the pan out of the oven and melt in a thick film of butter. Pour in the batter and return the pan to the oven. Bake until puffy and golden (mine took 20 minutes).

If you want to cook some eggs on top like I do in the video, bake until almost done, pull it out, put on your eggs/seasonings/onions/salami/whatever and return to the pan for a few minutes until the yolk is as firm as you want it.

Transfer to a cooling rack and let it steam out before you eat.
