South Africa: Farm attack, woman (66) ambushed, keeping calm, manages to escape, Carolina

A farm attack took place on 17 February 2022, at 18:30, on the farm Cilliersrust, in Carolina, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. The woman (66), a widow, lives and farms alone. She had just returned from taking farm workers home when she was ambushed in her garage.
Two attackers armed with a spade had waited for her and as she entered the garage the started smashing the windscreen with the spade.
Keeping calm, the woman reversed out of the garage and managed to flee in her vehicle and summon assistance.
Whilst she was not injured, she has been severely traumatized by the attack and is fortunate to have been able to get away and avoid what possibly could have been another gruesome statistic in the country.
All role players responded to assist.
The police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
