Sout Africa: Farm attack, victims suffer over fourteen hour ordeal, Lizard Rock

A farm attack took place on 14 July 2021, in Lizard Rock, in the Rhenosterkop valley, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. The attack started at 03:30 with the attackers only leaving at 18:00 the next evening.
Four attackers armed with a revolver and an automatic rifle first attacked a victim in the cottage.
The victim was assaulted and tied up. The home was ransacked and numerous household items and a Blue Mazda B50 LWB bakkie with registration BXH805MP were robbed.
The owner Mr Grantham and his wife were then overpowered in their home at 07:00. The couple were assaulted and tied up. Mr Grantham was beaten over the head with a firearm.
All victims were held hostage in the main house for 14,5 hours while the home was ransacked and the attackers helped themselves to food and drink throughout the day.
The attackers only left at 18:00 with the robbed vehicle and items.
The injured victims were attended to after managing to raise the alarm.
Mr Grantham was transferred to hospital for assistance.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
