Trump was met with boos from the crowd for shilling the COVID-19 vaccine during his fiery Alabama rally.
President Donald Trump was met with boos after telling his supporters to get the COVID-19 vaccine during his latest Alabama rally.
During President Donald Trump’s “Save America” rally in Alabama, the former President was met with boos from his crowd of supporters after he recommended that they take the COVID-19 vaccine, an issue that is widely unpopular among his members of his voter base.
“And you know what? I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You’ve got to do what you have to do But, I recommend: take the vaccines. I did it. It’s good. Take the vaccines,” said President Trump followed by loud boos from the crowd. “You got, no, that’s okay, that’s alright. You got your freedoms, but I happen to take the vaccine. If it doesn’t work, you’ll be the first to know. Okay? I’ll call up Alabama and say ‘hey, you know what?’ But it is working. But uh, you do have your freedoms. You have to keep, you have to maintain that. You have to maintain that, and you gotta get your kids back to school.”
President Trump, despite being generally enthusiastic about the vaccines that were developed part in thanks to his Operation Warp Speed program, previously attacked the principle of booster shots as being a cash-grab from greedy corporations. “If you’re a businessman, you’ll say, ‘you know what, let’s give them another shot, that’s another $10 billion of money coming in’,” Trump said, describing the whole situation as “crazy.”
Rep. Mo Brooks, who President Trump endorsed for U.S. Senate, was also met with skepticism during the Alabama rally when he urged Republicans to look toward the 2022 and 2024 elections while reflecting on the 2020 election, which many Americans believe was stolen by Joe Biden. He later joined the passionate crowd in a “FIX IT NOW!” chant, reminding them that the Arizona Audit results are coming. After the rally however, Mo Brooks clarified his position to National File. “Let me be clear, the 2020 election was fraught with voter fraud and election theft on a massive scale. If only legal votes cast by eligible American citizens were counted, Donald Trump won the election. I support audits of state 2020 election results, and I eagerly await their findings,” said Brooks.
The rally was largely a success for President Trump and his guest speakers, with thousands of attendees cheering for election integrity, the former President, and the America First movement. President Trump drew loud cheers and praise from the crowd of thousands when he said “you know what woke means? It means you’re a loser” and that “everything woke turns to shit.”
